[h=3]The Model Prayer[/h][SUP]5 [/SUP]“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. [SUP]6 [/SUP]But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[SUP][b][/SUP] [SUP]7 [/SUP]And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. [SUP]9 [/SUP]In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Give us this day our daily bread.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[SUP][c][/SUP]

[SUP]14 [/SUP]“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. [SUP]15 [/SUP]But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I once had someone ask my pastor, "Is it a sin to stub your toe and cuss?" To which my pastor replied, "Is it a sin to stub your toe and fornicate?"

The Bible says to be angry and sin not. The best thing to do is confess your sin and seek their forgiveness, tired or not. You also need to evaluate your heart and find out why you're so angry and why foul language can rise so easily to your lips when pressed in the vise of life.

I will tell you this, if you give satan an in, he will take it and he will use it until he stretches it to the point that great damage is done, to yourself and your loved ones. I used to be a foul-language dropper when I'd get in a rage or extremely irritated. Yet, remember the sour water and fresh water do not come from the same stream. If you are going to praise Christ, you can't use that same mouth to cuss. Think of the saying, "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Think of it like that...do you praise your Savior with that mouth?

Not sinning is not the defining character of a Christian. Resisting temptation and fighting the desire to sin is. But people are all imperfect beings, sinful by nature. If judging our salvation, by your example, is a way to know for sure, then Paul, who wrote most of the NT is not a Christian either. He himself said 'i do what i do not want to do'.
But yes, what good is it to confess a sin that you feel you conducted against one person, but confess it to another. The people who you sinned against benefit nothing from what you're doing.
Either you are keeping details hidden about the situation of your marriage, or you have anger issues of some kind you aren't dealing with. One way or another there is an underlying problem going on that's not being dealt with. Perhaps rather than ignore the problem and blaming it on the sin of anger, work out the real problem.

Not true. You are a Christian if you have repented and surrendered your life to Christ, are seeking to know Him and be like Him. None of us are perfect. The thing to consider is that you cannot allow sin or bad attitudes/habits to continue unchecked under the guise of grace. You don't 'lose' your salvation because you got angry and cussed. I daresay if it was such a fragile salvation, we would all be doomed. However, you must be very careful about excusing your choices when it comes to anger.

Anger is a cancer and it will eat away at you and your family. I know because I used to have boiling rage within me all the time. This was due to my parents divorcing at a young age, my witnessing domestic violence and ultimately being abused myself as a child, witnessing countless fornication occurring in my family for years, and feeling as though I was unloved.

Throughout the years, Christ has done a great work in me. Do I still get angry? Yes. But I do not fly in a self-abusing rage anymore. The minute anger comes and I act on it, I am repenting of it and praying that I will be more like Christ and less like Julie.

Do not doubt your salvation. How do you know if you're not a Christian? If you've rejected Christ and essentially said, "I can't overcome sin so I'm going to keep doing whatever I want."

thanks Mystic dancer. yes I must not sin in my anger. slow to speak and slow to anger. I do have issues but I do love God/Jesus, but this is the first time ever in my life that I have been doubting if I am a real Christian.

The evolution of the English language has changed the meaning of the scriptures.

To place a curse upon someone is akin to seeing a witchdoctor. (James 3:10, Strongs Number G2672)
Greek Lexicon :: G2672 (KJV)

To swear in a courtroom setting is to affirm that what you say is truth. (Matthew 5:37)

Do say words is an emotional outburst, the problem is not the words, but the root emotion.

Today we recognize that some people have a biological predisposition to anger, and there are medications that can help alleviate this if the problem is serious.

Why are you confessing it here? Confess it to God and ask HIS forgiveness. Then you have to ask forgiveness of all those you sinned against.

Now, if you're asking for prayer support and accountability, we can help you with that, but we can't absolve you of your sin.

I encourage you and your spouse and family to seek Christian counseling. Clearly there are many issues going on in your family that need to be worked out. Do you all attend church together? That would really help.
