Does anyone else get disheartened by this nation's hypocritical demand of perfection on others, and their sense of entitlement? Esp "Christians?"
For example, people cry "you don't understand me!" when someone critiques their atttidues or perspective or faults, and throws the "well you have you opinion, I've got mine" card. "Have understanding, have a benefit of a doubt. It's not always what it looks like." They may use this defense for a total stranger.
Then a customer service worker looks at them the wrong way, or acts rude, and they got that person ALL figured out, has NO right or reason to be rude, and "I'mma just going to see about getting them fired. Don't know the person from Adam, their problems, or ANYTHING beyond the past three minutes, but just a horrible person!" Understanding? Benefit of a doubt? All that lipservice forgotten. And this could be applied to anyone walking down the street.
Because most people I've noticed only relate to what THEY struggle with. If they excelled in this thing, everyone else should, too. If they are a people person, everyone else should be too.
I just get so frustrated and depressed at how hypocritical most people are. And how so many people seem to honestly think, or so their judgments suggest, that everyone just knows what they know and should be able to do and act as they think people should act. I am not excusing rude behavior, but I am saying that often those who critique rudeness displays a bit of their own when they feel justified.
