Let's keep this in perspective ... the world is marching lock-step towards the antichrist's government. It is very naive and dangerous for us to think it is going to be led there by a succession of Godly men.

Do not be fooled by Trump. The only thing he has been chosen for is to be one more stepping stone towards the antichrist.

The Bible tells us we are to respect those put in leadership over us because they are there by God's will and purpose.
Too often people of God think the Antichrist is something future. When it is actually now. There is a difference in terminologies regarding that person in scripture.
There is the Antichrist and the false prophet.
Maybe that which is in service to either one is that which insists the Bible reading people of God should hate the leadership God put over them. And therein lead other people of God by their rhetoric to do the same.

That would certainly be the antithesis of God's teaching regarding government and authority given God's universal dominion. And people of God saying they believe God's word. All except for that part.
 
Is "respect" the same as blind obedience?
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was executed when it became apparent he was involved a plot against Hitler. Should he have not done so?

I would have preferred neither. I would prefer that Godly people lead us, but as scripture says, that's not the road we are on. Which is one reason we end up with choices like Trump V Clinton. We're screwed either way.
 
Far from it, Ricky, Trump was raised up, he could have done anything else and had more fun.
 
Which is why he lies about everything he says. Because God raises up and installs liars.
 
Looks like Rickyz thinks just that way and accuses our Loving Creator of doing just that in the last election, i've never heard a true Christian do such a thing.

I realize that Shittim is acacia wood. However Shittim is the plural form of its actual individual reference, Shittah.
Did you use that plural form so as to be controversial and interject a veiled obscenity with your user name? Since you are one person and not plural and Shittah, the singular term for the acacia wood, would if you intend to reference the acacia wood be the correct title for yourself here.

(y) I think it is an unfortunate side effect of public school education. Hitler being thought to be the only mass murdering dictator in history. Even in with his case being a national socialist in the process.
