Okay,

So I installed Firefox just so I could use the reaction emojis here on CC, like that is the only reason I installed firefox. I'm not liking the firefox search engine layouts or anything about it and if it wasn't for the emojis I would uninstall it.
Now I'm having trouble using it even on CC.
The reaction emojis work just fine; however, I can not use anything on the tool bar other than the GIF icon and the toggle cog.
I can't figure out how to, I guess "untoggle".
If the attach file button works I will post an image of what it looks like for me.
Strangly, the first few times I used firefox here it wasn't like this

Oh, and also, when I try to click on toggle button or giphy, nothing happens.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no success in fixing it either.
Yeah... With this forum it seems there is no browser that is free of complications.

Me, I usually use Firefox for this site. But when I want to post a picture I have to switch to Chrome temporarily. No idea why. Everything else works fine here in Firefox.

I don't know how much time you want to spend troubleshooting this and how urgent this is for you, but i can try to help you.
It will take a long time i can tell you that right now, especially since you're not a "techie" either as you said. :)

that's very kind of you, thank you.
It's okay though, having it work or not is not worth the time commitment for me right now.
I am hoping to get a new laptop soon anyway; maybe then I'll put more time into getting things to work

Glad to hear that problem is solved! I had the same problem about a month ago. However, it went away with a windows update. I believe that this is a MS Windows update problem and not a problem with the browser itself. Maybe you are missing an update on your old laptop.

Doesn't explain why it happened on phones too, though.

The problem affects browsers that are based on Google Chrome. Like Microsoft edge.
I understand that. The person I quoted said it was a Windows issue, not a browser issue.

Your windoze update also updated edge. That passed along the Chrome update which fixed the problem.

It's not a Windoze update problem. It's a Chrome problem. It has been affecting laptops, phones and tablets, anything that is running a chrome-based browser.

I know a lot of people who wish you were right though. Mostly phone users. They only wish it was just a winblows update problem.
