The mouths of the turpitude:
First type: the mouth that indites deceit:
- “You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.” (Psalms 50.19).
Second type: the mouth that fawn over in order to ingratiate who is convenient:
- The butterings of his mouth were forked, but war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.” (Psalms 55.21).
Third type: the mouth that speaks curses and lies:

Fourth type: the mouth of the wolves, which speaks good things, while, in truth, they are of the malign:
- “Surely they have plotted to cast him down from his great height; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse in their heart. Selah.” (Psalms 62.4).
- “Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12.34)
