In other words, the glazed-over eyes of the followers of the environmental extremism, people like Bill Gates being among their front-line echelons, speak of how over-populated the planet is getting, and calling for something to be done, with some even going so far as to suggesting "elimination" of excess populations...which never includes them and their families.

Examples of ideologies that foster these beliefs:

• Eugenics / “scientific” population control (historical)
  Some eugenics movements—especially in the late 1800s through mid-1900s—argued that society should “manage” population by promoting some people over others. In their most extreme forms, these ideas were tied to coercion, forced sterilization, or other human-rights abuses (and they were later discredited).
• Neo-Malthusian / “cornucopian vs. limits” arguments (modern discourse, usually nonviolent—sometimes not)
  These are ecological “limits to growth” arguments (in the style of Malthus and later environmental writers) claiming the world is over capacity. Many proponents advocate family planning and voluntary measures, but a minority branches into darker proposals that treat mass death or coercive reduction as “necessary” for sustainability.
• Doctrines that frame humans as a “problem” to be reduced (often linked to extremist propaganda)
  Some extremist currents—found across different countries/eras—use sustainability/resource-collapse narratives to justify dehumanization. The specific mechanisms vary, but the rhetorical structure is similar: “there are too many people, therefore some must be removed.”
• “Depopulation” advocacy (a small extremist subset of the above)
  There are groups and individuals online and in certain fringe circles that explicitly call for large-scale population reduction. Many of these are not necessarily “mainstream environmentalism,” per se, but they do tend to cross into advocating violence, that of which overlap with terrorism/extremism.
