I don't care how much faith you have in the person if they can't get a job because there are no jobs your faith in them is useless.

You need a computer for school. I didn't have a computer until I was almost 30. I bet you parents never had one. People lived just fine without computers believe it or not.

Matter of fact if we all lost use of the computer would probably be the best thing for this / all countries I would defiantly help with morals.

bekah -- wanted to say I'm sorry for sounding like your dad or worse and fill in the blank. I can just feel it inside of me America is headed for hard times and I don't believe it is far off. To tell the truth I thought we would already be there and while things have not move as fast as I thought they are moving.

Look if we are living at the time I believe we are then you are born at this time for a reason. The Lord needs us and he needs us to lead and I believe that is to be a little prepared. Now I understand that the Lord said he will take care of us, but that taking care may be my food that I never get to eat helping some new Christian or one who has been serving the lord for years that’s starving.

I just see so many people tell me it will never happen and I use to be the same way at least in my life time, but I believe we are there. I believe we are most likely living at the time of the lord.

And if that is true then you are born at this time for a reason. The Lord must need you, and all you can bring, and all they can bring.

Look to make a long story short. I am sorry but please start preparing for hard times. Have at least 1 week worth of water and food. Now when I say food buy you a can food and one can is a meal. You want be full, but you want be starving either. 2 weeks would be better so you can maybe help someone else. At least you want panic. This will give you time to calm down and think if it gets worse, but always remember a little more is better.

Look you may not even be at home when something major happens but that food may help a neighbor out.

its ok hon, you didn't offend me. I just had to say how I felt about them. My mate is a boy scout and he already has the same mindset as you. We have survival gear and food ready to go in case the world goes up in flames. He is a true boy scout and has stuff I never thought we'd even need like water purifier and water proof matches. He has been slowly restoring our CJ5 jeep which is a vehicle with no tracking devices or computer crap in it. So if it ever comes down to surviving I am with the right man. He is also a chef who knows how to catch and cook everything w00tw00t. I know crap. So God put me with the right man lol.

Well God doesn't make mistakes. I honestly do not think food stamps is the mark of the beast because a lot of his children would go to hell for accepting it without realizing they were accepting it. I think that when the Mark of the Beast arrives we will know without a shadow of a doubt what it is God will ensure that I am thinking.

I don't know a single person who likes living in poverty. There are people who are lazy and do not try to find a job, but I don't think letting their family suffer because of a slack mother or father is the right answer. There are other solutions than just cutting everyone off. I doubt anyone will ever look into those solutions. I agree that as long as the government keeps catering to them for every single need then they won't look for a job, but instead of ridding us of food stamps the program needs some major changes and until then Good luck getting the government to do that.

However, I think you have too much faith in them. People are all about the money and materialistic things. They want to waste their money on stupid things like ipads.

Well based on you being 41 it has probably been awhile since you have been in public school. I don't know how many assignments I had to do where a computer was required. Too many to count. Also I am in college now and my classes are online because I have no way of actually getting to the school to take the classes in the classroom. My parents didn't have one until the 90's. They had a Gateway. I know people lived fine without a computer. I have lived without a computer before. In fact most of my time in high/middle/elementary school I didn't have a computer. My parents drove me to the library when I needed to use a computer, but they can not now because of their job.

I don't know about that. Computers are not as bad as you're making them out to be. The Internet is far worse than the computer itself.

1: I just wanted to back up the other reply by saying you do NEED a computer for school now.
Either that or you need to live close enough to school to use theirs. All my assignments for the last five years HAD TO be handed in online (thus they obviously also had to be written on the computer).

2: You are using one yourself, quite often, posting here. So careful what claims you make unless you are willing to include yourself

Do you know how much smut I looked up on a computer before coming to the lord, but the crazy thing is how much smut I find not even looking for it now.

Kids now can't do simple math because of computers. We don't even remember phone numbers because they are stored for us in our phone / computers.

Schools are pushing the computer because the devil needs it. The new currency will be electronic. I believe it will be some type of RFID CHIP / TATTOO

I don't mind living in poverty because when you have God as your savior you feel like the richest person alive. Material stuff stops having any hold over your life. The only thing I wish I did have more money for was a plane ticket to get to meet my grandson and see my daughter. But this is another opportunity to put my request before my God and wait and see what He is going to do. Me, I'm just going to sit back and trust Him. If its His will it will be done and nada can stop that. Maybe I need to be in poverty in order for God to work on me and make me more like Him. I suppose the way I look at it is if God wanted me to have a lot of money or material stuff I'd have it. I have asked for money and a easier life because He says ask and it shall be given to you if it is in His will for our lives. I figure if I am suppose to live in poverty for this life time then why not just take heart in it and be as happy as you can be. Material stuff doesn't really make you happy anyways. Its just stuff. God is the one who makes you rich with His Salvation.

I definitely agree people can't do math now cause they always need to plug it into the calculator, but I disagree that phones/computers are the cause of people not remembering numbers. People had phone books and address books before computers with addresses and phone numbers so the decline of memory started before computers.

That is your own fault. Apparently you like these phones/computers that let you store your numbers electronically. No one is forcing you to use the contacts feature on your phone. You decided to use it so you don't have to remember the numbers.

You keep focusing on the bad side of technology, but there is also a good side too.

You know what, I am on food stamps. I got laid off and all of the jobs where I live are not hiring because it is seasonal where I live. When you find yourself in a spot where you need food stamps to survive because no one is hiring....um you swallow your pride and you become very very thankful that they are there for you. Trust me, I know.

Nothing wrong with any one person being on food stamps. I think we all want to live in a country that helps those who need it. but, with so many on food stamps it makes you wonder of all of them really need it or are just gaming the system.
