...,and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. 1 Tim 4:4-5.

So how is it sanctified by means of the Word of God? I can only guess praying over your food before you eat it means it is sanctified by prayer. But by the Word of God?

Well, it may be just me, but this is the Word of God :)

Acts 10:10) And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 .) And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 .) Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 .) And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 .) But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 .) And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 .) This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

I take it to mean that if we read God's word, and pray, then we learn the ways of holiness, so we don't have to rely on rules about food or other "holiness" rules.

Job 16:17 yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure.

Job 42:8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.”

Matthew 7:8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Matthew 5:45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

I heard blessing means speaking good, you speak it good. And I will bless your bread and your water and remove sickness from the midst of thee.
