A Mothers Heart
A mother’s heart if full of Love
Engraved on walls in every part,
The strength to nurture girls and boys
Sometimes without a Father’s part:
The sacrifices that she makes
Sometimes may even go unseen,
But deep within her heart there lives
The beauty of a matchless queen:
Oh Mother, the days and nights you spent
Cuddling Children in your Arms,
So we can feel the warmth of Love
Within the midst of raging storms:
The things you’ve left behind for us
The dreams you’ve placed behind your back,
So we can grow up to be more
In areas where you always lacked:
No wind or storm, no sea or flood
Can take away your willing part
The love you’ve shown throughout the years
God placed in your priceless heart.
