I know it's possible to hear a tongues and interpretation and never really listen or remember what is said. I know because I have done it myself. Somewhere in the holiness of the matter I forgot to listen to what was said. I once heard a man in Bible College suggest that we could even take notes on what is said in interpretations. It sparked something in me of curiosity. Wouldn't it be great if God was talking to know what He said? I know alot of people on this site bellieve if God talks, it adds to Holy Writ therefore God is not talking but I must admit their view of God makes God mute and unable to speak. I argue back with the this verse John 21:25 "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." God continues to do things that might not make it into the Scripture. Jesus himself did works and they are not recorded in Scripture. It is a false assumption to say it all must be in Scripture or God cannot do it. I would suggest to every Pentecostal to find some way to really hear God speaking in tongues and interpretation. Some people record their church service. Some people take notes. Some people are just really good at listening. But I guarentee you that when God speaks through one of the gifts of the Spirit we need to hear what is said because there are blessings and promises coming from God for us specifically.
