  • When we were born again, we were inwardly created to become a dwelling place of God.
  • Our bodies are not mere shacks or mud huts; rather, we are inwardly fashioned to be magnificent dwelling places for the Spirit of God.
  • Because the fruit of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the grace of God are working inside us, we are inwardly embellished with rich spiritual ornamentation.
  • Our inner man is now a temple that is so marvelous, no human eye has ever seen anything like it!
If you’ve been dealing with a poor self-image, grab hold of this truth, because this is the greatest self-image booster that exists! Inwardly you are so beautiful and magnificent that Almighty God wanted to live inside you! What kind of home do you think God would require? A shabby shack made of dirt and sticks? No! He has built for Himself a beautiful temple within your heart — and that is who you are right now!

May this encourage those who have poor self image. Often times people are living
with the cruel words " you are an idiot" or "you will never make it in this world."
It is my prayer the Lord will pull those who feel like they are in a dark place in this
world, and go into hiding. Please know you are special. God does change us when
we accept what He has to offer.

That was a direct message for me.:)
Thanks to you and i thank God.

Song of Solomon helped me look at myself differently. Though there is much allegory in that book of the Bible, there is one part where the Shulamite says, "I am dark, but lovely, oh sisters of Jerusalem." Jesus showed me that this was one way to see how women should view themselves. There will always be a part of ourselves that we don't like (nose, ears, teeth, etc.), but we should acknowledge it, yet still see and understand that we are lovely despite/inspite of it. Embrace it, I guess is the way to say it, because you are still beautiful. :)

I am fair skinned, and love to be darker. But our Father knew us before
we were born and the outside is not what He chose for me. I know I was
always self conscience and I do recall growing up, as young teen, if I
was paid a compliment, my Mom would always have something negative
to say. '
True story: One lady friend of family said " You are welcomed to come and
visit anytime." Mom said to me after we got home, " she just wanted you
so she could sell your body for sex." I thought that was odd. Who knows
maybe Mom did know something I didn't.
Another story: I had to see an attorney at age 17 and she had graduated
with him, and he said to me, "You have class." Now I was a farm girl and
it did make me feel better about myself. But, Mom, on the way home told
me he wanted to use me for prostitution. Well, so much for feeling I was
worth much.

It took my salvation to become aware I was valuable to someone who did
not want me for my body. And that is Jesus Christ. He has brought me
a long way .... Gee, won't be long I will be going into my Heavenly home
and live with all His saints.

If anyone of my brother and sisters feel you are not worthy, don't ever buy
into it. Believe God really does love you and you are special to Him in all
ways. ~ J~K~2
