So,how does God testify to our spirits that he is God?
He spoke that to my spirit...how else would I have known he was the Holy Spirit?
Two things happen when God speaks to us through his word. Faith wells up. And the Spirit bears witness with our Spirit. But this does not happen apart from scripture. Faith comes by hearing the word. And the Holy Spirit's fruit brings a change of heart confirming his direction in our lives.
People want instead to play around reading comic books as it were, then have God speak to them telling them through voices in their head what to do. That's what this is all about, and some of the voices could be demonic.
In other words you got exposed for falsehood, the Bible says nothing about who to marry or what job to take, since these are different for each individual.
You kept dodging and now you had to go for esoteric gnostic wisdom and knowledge "if you cant see it"
Carry on with this ridicilous belief system of a dead god
Which voice would that be the voice of Prophecy (God's tongue) or senseless words that have no meaning as a source of wondering, wandering causing people to fall backward slain in the spirit only to be filled with more wonder when those who prevented the falling injury cause a person to rise wonder and fall again and again?

Well how else could some make apostles in the likeness of men if a person does not attribute the unseen work to the gospel as the power needed to rise to a new hope. And not the corrupted dead hands of mankind. The dead bury the dead.

We lift up the gospel. It does the work of teaching how to walk by faith . Formally being lame our own self therefore having witnessed the power to raise and walk with Christ .
It seems to me that it has been forgotten this discussion began with a poem. The sharing of feelings put into words and than put out for others to read and feel for themselves. That's it. we are all supposed to be one body in Jesus Christ. Each with our own gifts given to us by God Himself. For His purpose.. being to share the Good news That God so loved the world He sent His Son So all that should believe in Him shall not perish. Just because you may not understand or believe in how someone else says God speaks to them does not mean it is wrong or demonic . It is simply how God speaks to them. Considering we have a limitless almighty God. It seems there are people that insist on not only put human limits on God. But seem to be focused on taring down the faith and Belife of what others Know to be true about there personal relationship with God .

Actually, the Holy Spirit will bring to our minds the scriptures. This happens very often in my life. In fact, I have actually repeated scripture out loud I did not know was even in the Bible and when I did a search, I would find that very same scripture. See, God is faithful and He has given us His Spirit.
The word without the life of God's Spirit is dry bones and does no good for anyone. It will hurt and cut without the life giving oil of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will attest to the truth of the Bible and will convict of sin, but everyone is not saved.
You give no scripture to back up what you say. Don't you know that demons still flee at the name of Jesus? But that is only through the power of the Holy Spirit to Whom you do not seem to give any credit.
Jesus has healed many who came to believe in Him BECAUSE He healed them. Seriously, you lack credibility. How about the 10 lepers? Only one came back to thank Jesus. The other 9? They received but they did not acknowledge. Many today do the same but God sends His rain on the just and the unjust.
The Bible actually states that Jesus came to His own but His own did not receive Him. He goes out into the highways and byways and searches. He is still searching and seeking hearts. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.
If you do not hear His voice? If you insist only on a two dimensional Jesus? Perhaps you do not know the One others here attest to.

So true. I know in my own life, I have had to learn to pay attention (the hard way I might add) to that quiet check in my spirit if I ignore I ultimately wish I had listened to.
It is dismaying that so many do not seem to understand how the Holy Spirit works and how He communes with our Spirit as per the very directives and instructions, not to mention examples, in scripture.
We will find Him when we seek Him with our whole hearts is as true as when first written. There is so so much to encourage us but we have some folks and even entire denominations and churches deflecting and basically in denial of what they say they believe.
Too many voices telling them not to believe what the word states. God is Spirit and those who worship Him must do so according to how He tells us to approach Him. He is not stuck in the Bible. The Bible is our foundation so that we can determine what is and what is not of God, BUT, it is not God Himself. And it is a learning curve. We probably might mistakes along the way.
I attribute that to the fact that foundations are not laid where they should be laid. In assembling of the body of Christ. People are not taught as they should be and many stumble and are wounded because of it.
I honestly do not think I would even believe anymore if I did not have God's presence in my life, if I only had a book. When a heart cries out to God, it is the heart that God hears. Very nice to recite scripture but it kills without the Spirit as the Bible itself states.
Thank our Lord our Father God In Heaven .In the name of Jesus Christ !!!Amen !!! I have been waiting eagerly to hear The Spirit of our God speak in my head. Thank you for helping me to ,translate, and than .interpret. and remember what I was missing
I always give scripture when it becomes necessary. I assume people already know most of what I know. But I always respond to those who ask.
Try this once. See if you can get through it. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV 1900)
Based on this, how do you know whether to turn right or left? Who to visit or not visit? what to choose or not to choose?
Wow a lot was done in my time away from this thread. This thread was made with a poem that I felt god place on my heart to write and speak but first and foremost it was for him to speak to the hearts of others and so hearing his voice actually is a fitting debate for this thread in fact that may have been part of the purpose of the thread.
We live in a time when hearing his voice is actually very misunderstood and more rare than it should be, many claim to know and hear his voice yet there are so many false prophets and false teachers so many senseless words with no power in them showing anything but what we are called to be and so much misuse of scriptures for lack of understanding using it as a weapon against others instead of edifying.
Yes God does speaks through scripture but yet how often do you see scripture picked apart and cherry picked to say something else or used to prove others are wrong and you are right? This is not what scripture was intended for and has no power in this way. Claiming to have understanding means one is to be held accountable to their words and actions and hearing his voice whether by scripture alone or how else he speaks to you means you then claim understanding and should show his voice in your words you post.
This poem I wrote in my words I just spoke means I claim to have understanding and know his voice but it was not written with a voice in my mind or thoughts of any kind that is not how I write. I never know what I am going to write I have no clue what the message is or what is going to be written literally I have a blank page until I begin to write. The words that are then written just flow and I hear them and speak them not from my mind or thoughts but what I hear in my heart and spirit and yes maybe some can say he speaks through scripture alone but because I listen and speak there is power in the words written it impacts hearts it heals and mends inner wounds it strengthens and encourages others and lights a fire in them it creates a spark.

So you are not aware of my thinned down posts the references I assume you are aware of?
I have not seen all your posts but from what I have seen you rarely ever use scripture and when you do it is always misused and not meaning what you try to make it mean
