My two cents.
I think Zone aka OP sees/hears some Christians who go around saying that Christians will NEVER ever ever, and I mean NEVER ever sin this side of eternity/heaven/etc.

Maybe when she hears/sees this assertion, she views it as unbiblical.
So as a way to make people who teach this think about what they're teaching, she asks this simple question, and requests a testimony.

So then, when those who teach this, read this question, it makes them very uncomfortable.
Because on one hand, they teach that Christians will never ever sin ever, this side of eternity, but on the other hand this question puts them in a position where they have to confront the implications of what they're teaching head on. They won't answer directly. Because deep down they know if they answer yes, they're lying? Possibly? But if they answer no, then it means the thing they teach is in error.

So instead of answering directly, or confronting their error and changing it, they hedge, and dodge, and accuse the person asking a simple question. Which begs another question.

If you have to hedge, and dodge, and accuse the questioner, does it imply that maybe one needs to reexamine their doctrine?

Folks, if you believe Christians will never ever ever sin this side of eternity, then testify to work God has done in your life, and let us know.

Zone once again.... NO MAN CAN BE PERFECT... it is GOD IN THE MAN THAT MAKES THE WHOLE MAN PERFECT.... Why is it so hard to understand? The OLD MAN IS DEAD... do you know what DEAD means?

The old man is judicially dead, yet is very much alive on this earth. The old man is sinful; that is why we must daily put him to death. Denying his existence is a recipe for delusion and disaster, not holiness.

So Jesus is still vile and wretched? WOW! And God is blind and looks BEYOND our iniquity? WOW! Wonder if God can do something about sin... Like maybe take a sinner, give him a new heart and a NEW Holy Spirit, to NOT SIN EVER AGAIN... Wonder if God can do that, instead of putting on sleep muffs not to see sin...

Fotunately herosefromthedead contradicted himself within 9 minutes. If God makes a person blameless, God also KEEPS the person sinless and blameless. God says HE will ensure we walk in HIS statutes... Holiness is not a sinners way, and sin is not the Holy Way... As simple as that...

Here is how God puts it in HIS TRUTH...'
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

yes Cobus God will do this keep one sinless is truth, but we have free choice to either be tricked back into walking in the flesh or by flesh be self-righteous as SAUL was before he became Paul, and put no confidence in the flesh
So let's start to die daily to flesh as Paul ahs shown us throughout scripture, about being to flesh and alive to God in the Spirit.
And as John wrote to us, to not sin, yet knowing the tricks of flesh, showed us as well we have an advocate
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1 John 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

I am praying for you to see this truth that it is all Father with Christ and none of ourselves ever.
Love you, I see your desire, yet it is only accomplished in trust of God and dying daily to self with Christ, being co-crucified to self with Christ, and is done through asking God to do this and show what this does, as in the new life, when one is dead to self and thus alive to God in the Spirit of God

I sin everyday by just living in this sinful body, no wonder it doesn't make it into heaven.

so ask God what being dead to flesh, sinful flesh means and what new life in God's Spirit means and learn to walk by the Spirit of God where no sin occurs ever.

did you see that winking eye appear in my post?

i usually delete those, the irony.

theyre just little default emoticons.
meaningless really...same with the click like button.

imo anyways..

The holy spirit; the spirit of truth; the same spirit that mocked the prophets of Baal through Elijah, and severely rebuked the pharisees through Jesus.

please be careful that you do not misunderstand the truth are we called to condemned or to love? You decide

The type of people who actually meet the criteria you ask for are probably never going to actually say that or outright claim that about themselves (And I do believe there are people who have ceased from sin completely and have done so for long periods of time but I do not claim to be one of them....though I do hope to achieve it).

trust God and God only and all things are possible, yet only can be done daily, by dying to self daily as Paul showed to put no confidence in flesh (self)
Phil 3

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Who said this, and who wants to rebuke the writer for having written this...

Josh I will share 1 john 1:8 to 10 with you if you wish. Whosoever said HE HAS NOT SINNED... past tense,,,, Verse 10. From verse 8 to 10 is how salvation works, otherwise 1 John 3:9 and 1 john 5:18 makes no sense...

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Josh God says we should not be mislead or decieved... God says the man that DOETH righteousness is as righteous as God is righteous.... That means as without sin as God is without sin.... Holy as God is holy... Perfect as Father is perfect... Nothing to argue about... Nothing to disagree with... ONE IN GOD, ONE IN SPIRIT... ONE IN HOLINESS.... WOW God can save.

To claim born of God and say we will not sin again, sets one up to sin again, because pride and boasting knocks on the door of flesh, and makes one think themselves as better than others that are on the grace path of God and from God through the Son Christ.
therefore Paul showed us 2 Cor 12:7 onward, to glory in our need for Christ and when we forget, God who loves us sends a messenger of Satan to buffet us, to humble us once again and again as we are growing in this amazing grace from God and all credit goes to God

why can't people read the OP before posting?

Re: for those who do not sin

please post when you, who no longer sin, last sinned.

i didn't ask what the sin was....i wondered WHEN they knew they were without sin.

this is promoting sin?

get real...i'm asking those WITHOUT sin to testify to THAT.

Actually Sister God promotes the deliverance from sin by trusting in God's finished work at the cross where new life in the Spirit of God is at, not in the death, rather in the resurrected life.
Is it true that if one stays in the resurrected life, being in the Spirit, there is no sin possible? So then is this not we are to consider oneself dead to sin
[h=3]Romans 6:1-11[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Dead to Sin, Alive to God[/h]6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? [SUP]2 [/SUP]Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, [SUP]6 [/SUP]knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For he who has died has been freed from sin. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, [SUP]9 [/SUP]knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And when one sees this truth and does not sin, because they believe God, there is only one chance to sin and that is by flesh, pride, and God sends a messenger of Satan to buffet that one that is taking the credit for not sinning after they have repented and believed, God is the captain by one's continued free choice to be dead to sin
All sin has been condemned to what?

[h=3]Romans 8:3[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

Does anyone really think God desires for anyone of us to sin ever again?

[h=3]1 John 2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

Hebrews 8:11
None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

Thanks Zone, but no one gets the credit, but God through Christ.

I was made perfect, 'IN CHRIST JESUS' as He was made perfect when He was lifted up!
But no I sin daily, wrapped in the tabernacle of sin, this flesh and soul.

so then learn to dead to flesh, by God's provision and be dead to self daily with Christ, the death of, so that you might gain the new life in the Spirit of Christ, via the resurrection by God the Father, read rom 6 carefully

unclear.
are you testifying to having ceased all sin.
you have no sin....or did i misunderstand.

this thread is for people who have no sin.

This you spoke here is the war of flesh and the Spirit of God, that many unfortunately are not seeing, but the Holy Spirit testifies to our Spirit, whether we are God's or not, and each here know whether they are or not, and not all have made their final choice to just trust God and hide in God as you just said, a deep truth here Cobus, deep!!!!!!!!!! God getting all the credit. Love it and thanks if this is what you meant hope and pray so, if not and see this then again praise and glory all go to God

cobus says he isn't saved home.
he says he is a child of satan.
i hardly think, in that case, he's able to rightly discern the christian experience.

Learn to die daily and the more one sees themselves dead, the more work from God to all by God's love pours through the one dead to self. A co-crucifixion with Christ, being dead to self and alive to God, deeper and deeper as one is deeper and deeper dead to the self.
God's only way today to be worshipped is in Spirit and truth

  1. John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
John 4:22-24 (in Context) John 4 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations
  2. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

so wait a second here your trying to tell me you do not sin? LOL so your saying you never look at a woman and lust sometimes you never tell a lie even if it is a small lie? like tell someone you don't have money when you do.. oh please sir we are born in sin it is our nature for the flesh to sin you just don't want to acknowledge that, you my friend are only deceiving yourself If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [h=3]1 John 1:8 that is the word of god stop showing forms of holiness and accept it , tell me this if we can't sin after god save us then why did he say this, 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 oh please tell my how you are " perfect " 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Luke 18:19 [/h]

No one argues that there isn't a struggle against sin, and that it doesn't die bit by bit.
What this thread is about are those who say the struggle is over, and they sin no more.

What eventually happens when this issue is brought up are a few things.

The one who teaches that Christians don't sin ever, will eventually back pedal, and say ...no no no we are still putting sin to death. To which I'd reply...Well then quit saying Christians NEVER sin ever.

Or..

The one who teaches Christians never sin ever, will hedge, dodge, and evade the answer.

or...

The person will change their stance....

or..

They may come out and say...I never ever sin ever.

okay. this is certainly written.
but there are some who say they no longer have sin.

sin is transgression of the law, and some say they keep the law, and therefore have no sin.
some say they no longer sin because they have a perfect love.
others say because they have purified their hearts they are without sin...they only make mistakes.

i wondered if they would testify about that.
that's all.
what's the big deal?

Loveme,

Understand what Zone is saying:

have (possess) sin.

My friend, it is written: If we were to say that we do (present indicative (the very now)) not (absolute negative) possess (have) sin, then we do deceive ourselves and the Truth is not in us.

If we were to say this, then we would be saying, "God cannot find anything in me which is contrary to His will." But, we know from the Holy Spirit's conviction that this is not true, seeing that at times He does convict us.

Howbeit, we have yet to receive our glorified bodies. Until then, I am liable to have offended my God by my human nature. But all thanks belong to God that if I were to sin, I have an Advocate with the Father who intercedes on my behalf through His blood.
