I am 20 now and starting to realy look at the world and not just religion.
I now see everyone is diferent and I am learning to see them for who they realy are now.
I have talk to some very understainding people who let you speak then voice there thoughts on it.
I have met some people who only make you feel terible for beliveing something diferent.
I put religion and philosophy together and found balance when I was scared.
I learned to trust myself and also god at the same time.

Sticks and stones will break your bones......but words can either help you get through it...or hurt you for the rest of your life.

I have been told I am wrong by alot of people both religious and not in life.
I still hold to my belief and I know how I feel about it.
no religion is the wrong one its up to the person to decide this.

I could tell you hundreds of other things but I will not for now because I know I will get shot down for no reason.
but some might listen to me aslo and hear me out.

So what is your life like right now?
What have you learned

Here's the flaw in what you're saying- if everything is subjective then nothing really means anything. By saying something like all religions are correct if you want them to be, then what you're really saying is that they're all equally meaningless.

Perhaps that is what you mean, but I disagree. I think practically all religions have value and express certain truths, but they cannot all be 'equally correct,' as some make demands that are not negotiable. You cannot believe there is only one God and also believe everything is god or we are gods or there is no god or there are many gods. These are contradictory things and they cannot all be true. Get what I mean?

Now, I will say that I understand how you feel. I walked away from my own religion for quite a while because I thought it was unfair that not everyone will be saved, even if they're good religious people. I had a really hard time understanding that and it immediately struck me as unfair. I tried to make a compromise similar to yours, but it's empty. My suggestion to you is based on my personal experience- worry less about everyone else until you are in a better spot yourself. If you try to establish a religious philosophy that will be all things to all people, then you will miss out on the personal message that is in there just for you. Know the truth for yourself and believe what you believe, regardless of what it means for other people. Read your Bible and see the truth in it and the rest of it will begin to make sense.

You're on a path and it is yours alone. Your relationship with God and your understanding of the world will change over time as you gain more life experience and can reflect on more things with hindsight. Allow that to happen.

Oh kids just entering college for the first time!!! Think their minds have been open to equality and individualism.

The mindset you are expressing is a very demi-god, master of my own soul approach to religion. Everyone can do whats right in their own eyes, because they are their own person, and that is what's right for them. Except that doesn't line up with scripture at all. you say you mix religion with philosophy am i correct? Doesn't the bible say not to "lean on your own understanding"? God doesn't make sense, unconditional love does not make sense. The fact that one man could die two thousand years ago, and take away the sins of the world, even people who haven't been born yet, doesn't really make that much sense either.

Be careful with thinking your way through life. You could miss out on a lot of purpose.

I do not state that they are meaningless at all and religion is not everything in life...theres family and the world. I am open to listen to all people who speak to me. I will not push a bible in there face and say" but thats not in here". I do not preach I speak my mind and why do others care what I think? The world is so critical and judgmental now. I have a good relationship with god at the moment and always have. I have faith in the lord and all of heaven I know I am young still but I have seen the people around me. The ones with a one track mind and going in one direction. I am not like that I look at the feuture and the outcomes befor I do something.
I have seen the out of controll ones who throw there lives away without a care in the world and end up at the bottom quickly.
I am finaly happy in life I get good grades and I made the deans list recently to.
I see nothing wrong with how I am as a person right now.
I protect those who need it and listen to my friends problems when I do not have to.
I dont have to care at all but I do because somone has to. I see the chances god gives me and I take them when I can.
God gave me a gift and im going to use it the best I can.

and yes I do belive in ghosts and there is a reason why and I know why some other people do to. Ghosts provide an answer to the question of "what happens after death" and I know some people do no agree with this and they have made it clear.

I know there is a heaven and a god I have proof of this.

and on the ghost subject you would have questions to if you where in your basment and your tv and nintendo Wii turned off and then you saw a grey mist because I know I did when it happened and still do.

so if there is a flaw in me being a person and I see none at the moment please tell me.

Correct me if I am wrong. It sounds like basically you'll agree with God so long as he has already agreed with you, right?

no religion is the wrong one its up to the person to decide this.

Sorry, I just have to say it: Religion does not save, Jesus does ;)

But aaanyway, yes it is up to each person to choose, but that does not make that religion right or wrong...
If I say this forum is green, it does not make it green, even if it happened to look like that to me :)

Agreed rainicorn.

Your theory on how life should be lived has some holes in it.

Just because your happy doesn't mean it's the right place for you to be.

but who is to say that?

The only objective authority on such things- God.

You know that quote about how the right thing and the easy thing are not usually the same thing? Happiness is not a reliable indicator for righteousness.
