Hi, I'm Luis! I'm new in this community. So let me tell you why I'm here in CC.
I was saved back in 2017 when I'm still young (12 yrs. old) because my parents are both active in our church. But little did they know of my sin that I've been hiding since 2015. I was exposed to pornography and have been struggling with same-sex attraction since then. Though I wasn't involved in any gay relationships 'cause I'm afraid, and deep inside, I know that it wasn't my real desire, it's the sin living in me.
I've been fighting it alone, but I end up being frustrated and discouraged. I don't know what to do. There are times when I feel victorious for being pure (temporarily), only to fall back again and again in the never-ending cycle of lust and sexual sin. I'm too afraid to share this with others, let alone the thought of others judging you. This has become my deepest wound. This is the thing that holds me back from becoming who God wants me to be.
But I know that there's still hope, because Jesus is hope. And God reminded me that in order for this wound to heal, I need to be honest with Him (which I did) and with a brother or a friend who are mature spiritually to guide me in this journey towards purity and holiness.
Is there someone here who could be my friend and a brother to help me in this struggle? If God is leading you to help me, you can message me directly. Thank you, everyone, and may God bless you all!
