Friend killed in crash

Found out today that a friend of mine and his father were killed yesterday around 1pm while flying a small aircraft to an airshow. He leaves behind a wife and 10 kids. He was a christian not sure about his father. Please pray for the family.
 
Praying for your friend and his family. We know your friend is in Heaven with our Lord and pray that his father is too. Also praying that his family feels Jesus peace in the midst of their grief and will get the help they need.
 
So very sorry for your loss, djness. Father, be with this family, give them your peace, comfort and provision.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

As believers, one of the great things we have is assurance. Though we miss loved ones when they pass on, we know that if they're believers that they'll be in Heaven. We miss and mourn for them, but we're also happy, knowing they're enjoying their eternal life and we'll see them again someday. The lost mourn without this assurance, so it's very difficult for them to come to terms with the death of a loved one.

It's a real possibility that his father was Christian. It sounds like they were close and the fact your friend had God as his foundation would've been clear to all. If we have loved ones that aren't saved it's usually a daily focus of prayer and trying to lead them to Christ. We also feel closer to those of the same Spirit who are equally yoked with us. It's a great possibility that his father may have also been Christian before he died.

I'll pray for you and your friend's family, that God brings you all peace and strength during this time :)

P.S. My grandmother died recently, so I sent this book to my mother. I usually read books first to check they're sound before sending them to anyone, but my mum's a christian so I knew she would use discernment when reading it. I gave her several to give to family members if the book proves to be sound.

About 30 Christians have contributed to it and one of them I know to be a sound bible teacher. I read just a page online and it seemed to be encouraging non believers to draw close to God, so it looks to be a good book to reach out to the lost as well as believers. I think it would be perfect for the wives that lost their husbands. You can read the online version first to be sure it's sound.

I will pray for all concerned in this unfortunate accident. I am so sorry you lost your friend. I pray for you and that God envelop all in love and peace that surpasses all understanding.
 
I am so sorry. Please know that I'm praying for all. May God lift up everyone and give them peace, love support, strength, all that they need to handle this. Words at a time like this may not seem helpful, but I hope you all can feel the prayers given to God at this time. God bless you
