One thing I've realized on this journey is that I knew a lot of Scripture by word of mouth—I knew the stories people told, the verses people quoted, and what I'd heard in church—but I had never truly read and studied God's Word for myself from beginning to end.

Since starting my Bible-in-a-year journey, my eyes have been opened in ways I never expected. Reading Scripture in its full context has deepened my understanding, strengthened my faith, and renewed my walk with Christ. I'm still learning every day, but I'm so grateful for what God is teaching me through His Word.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'd love to hear what God has been revealing to you through your own time in Scripture.

Amen. IMO there's no better way to develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit than by quiet time reading scripture. He's our teacher after all. Other people's insights are helpful; but the insights that have had the most lasting impact on my life have come directly from the Holy Spirit.

I completely resonate with your post! I love going to church so much and hearing sermons and preaching, but it's just as valuable to have your alone time with the Lord and to sit in His presence as you read His Word. God is truly a God of revelation. If you seek wisdom and knowledge in His Word, He provides it to you.

When I genuinely yearned for Him and His sanctuary and embrace, as well as His guidance, He taught me very insightful things through His Word. When you accept the sanctifying Holy Spirit and He dwells in you, He reveals things in beautiful ways.

May the Holy Spirit of Truth bless you with wisdom and understanding as you seek knowledge through the study of His Word ✝️

I became a Christian when a work friend gave me a Bible to read.. I read it all from Genesis to the end of Revelation.. I became an actual Christian when i got to Romans 7.. Before that you could call me a Theist who was bound by the false works salvation religion that has many people deceived in this world unfortunately..
