From whom are you expecting the right answer?
• Prov 16:1 -> “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.”.
In everything the Creator is trying to convey to us His message:
• Amo 3:1,2 -> “Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.””.
As it was with Israel in the past, today Jesus desire to have us as His friends (John 15:15) and know us in a supernatural way. After all we are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness so that the day of Jesus’ coming surprises us like a thief (1Th 5:4,5).
• Amo 3:7 -> “For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.”.
So, let’s open our eyes to hear what Jesus is trying to speak to us and open our eyes so that we can recognize Him in our ways (see Isa 6:9,10; Mat 13:14,15). For instance:
1 – Se someone close to us aren’t in agreement with us, it’s doable that it is the Holy Spirit who is hampering us of doing what we desire (see Act 16:6,7):
• Amo 3:3 -> “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?”.
• Gal 5:17 -> “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”.
2 – If a great and jeopardous enemy is alive, it is the Creator that is giving them what they need so that they can be used to fulfill their role (for instance, to discipline the Church):
• Amo 3:4 -> “Does a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from his den, if he has taken nothing?”.
3 – If you are not receiving of Jesus it is a sign that you are mixing up “bread” with “stone” (“fish” with “snake” or “egg” with “scorpion” – Luke 11:11,12):
• Amo 3:5 -> “Does a bird fall in a snare on the earth, when there is no trap for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when it has taken nothing?”
In other words, you are hunting (or seeking out) what isn’t for you (many times we are about to die choked in virtue of we eat what is to be a blessing in the life of others – see the case of this fish (Mat 17:27)).
4 – Considering that all things work together for good those who love the God, for those who are called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28), therefore let’s pay attention at all the signs that Jesus gives for our deliverance:
• Amo 3:6 -> “Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster come to a city, unless the LORD has done it?”.
After all, the Creator does not afflict from His heart or grieve the children of men (Lam 3:33). So, have a nice day praying to Him before doing something and keep in the watchtower as Habakkuk (Hab 2:1,2) until He answer. Only under His word carry out your work (Luke 5:5).
