Warming rays of springtime sun
Light upon the arms of one
Gripping in her hands, a hoe,
Making straight the garden row.

Falling from her hand, a seed;
Green that's waiting to be freed.
Dreams of what shall come at last
In her scenes of fancy pass.

Ere departing from the plot,
Head she bows in reverent thought;
Thanking the Almighty One
'Neath the rays of springtime sun.

April 2019.

With springtime gardening season here again, this poem is relatable for me. Anyone else love gardening?

Aww that's sweet. Did he keep you company while you worked? This morning my two youngest sisters helped me plant some lettuce.

Oh I was confused I thought you meant your dog sorry! I assume you mean your dad or grandpa? That's a good memory. Yeah I get it when you have other stuff going on it can be hard.

Haha sorry. Yeah he was my grandfather. I would have one but I'd be the only one taking care of it and I work long days so it's hard finding time.

Do you do veggies or are you talking about a flower garden?

Vegetable garden. I haven't done much flower gardening but I would like to get into that. I just LOVE having fresh food from the garden, especially things like tomatoes in the summer.

What a blessing!
You are such a fruitful and gracious lady.

I'm on lunch break now but looking forward to this evening. I'll be working on my food forest. I hope your garden goes as well as your beautiful poetry.

💕
To your health and happiness!
