I see marriage as a civil ceremony. That's how I did it. I didn't have to ask any church to be married in it.

Turns out God is everywhere, not just under 4 walls of a church building.
 
What ever happened to the separation of church and state?
 
My question would be:

Why would anyone want to get married in a church under God if they do not believe what scripture teaches? If you want a big ceremony as this couple seem to want, they can have that anywhere they want that holds their beliefs.

Were in an era of Liberal bigotry..they call it Tolerance!
 
Satan can never be satisfied. Satan desires to be like the Most High God. Not unexpected that the Sodomite would desire to defile Gods house the church with a profane act. Look at what Antiochus Epiphanes did in 70AD to the temple.

There are days I just want to leave marriage to the church and wider culture so morons like this couldn't pursue legal action.

I also don't want to be taxed more after I get married.
 
The constitution protects us from the government influencing our churches. While there is nothing in the constitution about church and government being seperate, it does protect us from the government establishing a religion.

I do not see how a lawsuit could even be filed.

This isn't about damages. This is about promotion.
 
In every conversation I've seen on the topic of legalizing gay marriage, all the atheists and gays have told us that the gays would never force churches to marry gays. So where are all those people now and why aren't they protesting against those who are trying to force churches to marry gays?
 
this is in England - not the USA - does Great Britain have the same religious freedom laws?

because this wouldn't fly in the US. the state may recognize homosexual marriage, but the church cannot be coerced to perform the ceremony against their beliefs. even secularists recognize that.
