Why must some people insist on making other people do what they do not want to do? Is there only one bakery in the world? This situation is all about politics and nothing to do about wedding cakes. Sodomites cannot be married by Gods standard in any case.

I agree, it is just the same as the state making town clerks issue marriage licences even if they are Christian and do not agree with it.

Could be, but this case was recent. I had never heard about gays insisting on getting wedding cakes from christian bakeries before, but if that does happen a lot it's a problem. Why do they INSIST on getting one from a christian baker in the first place? I find it hard to believe (with a country like the US) that they don't have more bakeries in their vicinity. This is just a provocation, maybe we should INSIST on evangelizing in gay bars or something.

That's my take on it. Why not use this as an opportunity to evangelize instead of discriminate. Talk to them about the loving forgiveness of Messiah, and the sacrifice he made for us. Tell them you'll be happy to bake their cake as long as they are willing to let you tell them about the word of truth. Bake the cake and when you bring it to the venue, bring a bunch of bible believers to "assist." You can sing "What a friend we have in Jesus" in four part harmony the whole time you're setting it up.
The question for me is this; is it more important to spread the word and the light or to protect your own soul from damnation? If you say the latter, you've forfeited both, imho.

Being "black" is not a sin, and you can't choose NOT to be black.
It's offensive to african americans to compare THEIR struggle
to the fuss the gays are making these days, and maybe even racist.

Well, I don't know. I've seen these types of stories often. Should be able to deny service like that if you wish.

this is the problem that I have with fining those people who refuse to make a wedding cake for gay couples. It goes strictly against our Christian belief that God has ordained from long ago that marriage is to be a communion between a man and a woman.
Now what if a satanist comes into my wood sculpture shop and demands I carve him a satan statue to worship. Am I supposed to honor that man's wish? No. Id rather lose my business and be thrown in jail before I would carve him satan to worship. And im serious about that.
