Even the Justices on SCOTUS noticed that Phillips was inconsistent in arguing his religious convictions in his refusal of the wedding cake special design for two gay men and long time customers. It's in the first part of the entire case here.
The first part of this opening by Phillips attorney should have had the decision rule against Phillips.
Phillips speech was completed when he had completed that cake with rainbow design that was on public display. However, after refusing to make a special designed wedding cake for the gay men Phillips, who knew they were committing two sins already and that clearly did not make him object to serving or supplying them, gifted the men that premade cake, a rainbow layered cake, for what Phillips knew was a gay wedding.
Phillips is a bigot. He didn't win religious freedom for Christians in this case. He gained victory as a bigot who used the faith of Christ as his disguise. He's a shame. Not a hero.
Anyone who takes time to opine on gays seeking a wedding cake and because there is no such thing as a gay wedding cake, should take time to listen to this case.
Even Phillips attorney struggles to make Phillips standpoint make legal sense for the court. She sounds really at a loss. But boy was she paid!
Remember too that state courts in Phillips own home state ruled against him. Rightly so.
Some/most of the prior string I will reserve comment on other than the shop should have the right to decide what klnd of cakes to make. When I was a mechanic I refused to work on some german, most british or any italian cars. Race or nationality had nothing to do with it. The cars were just too much work and time to bother with. If it is the proprietors decision not to make it, for those reasons, so be it.
I used to be a mechanic, I was very busy so I refused to work on certain cars like Weird hot rods, V12s w/6 carbs & dual distributors etc. Nothing to do with a persons identity, the cars just took too much attention time and special parts. I couldn't make money fast enough and didn't know enough about them to do a good job and make money too. Sounds fair to me.
it's his business he can refuse service, just as Muslim Bakers did the same thing yet there was not a law suite filed against Muslim bakers. Gays are radical and want everyone to accept their perversion without question. Gays are not the most intolerant sexual preference known today. More Christians need to stop being afraid and stand up to these bullies

What comes next in regards to going after certain bakeries for refusal to bake a wedding cake in support of a such a event? Start sueing individuals for just refusing to attended the ceremonies?
