However, what's causing the real confusion in the culture, is that the "gay rights" political movement has done some slight-of-hand with language, in order to CREATE CONFUSION where there was none.
They have done this by creating a BRAND NEW distinction between "biological sexuality" and "gender"... deciding for us that these are now two separate, and completely different things.
It's just rhetorical misdirection, and nothing more than that, but once some ridiculous new "redefining" of terms starts to get established in the culture, all of the young people have no way to know what the previous, established, and logical definitions were. In essence, it's a way to just STEAL reasonable patterns of thinking away from the youth, by replacing those things with something ARBITRARY and RIDICULOUS.
Older people can still recognize the ARBITRARY and RIDICULOUS for what they are, but the young people cannot, because the ARBITRARY and RIDICULOUS are all they've ever known.
And this is how the rhetorical misdirection works, and it's able to go a bit further with each new generation.
But there is an antidote.
The BIBLE is an antidote to all of this.
In every generation it gives us GOD'S DEFINITIONS for all things, so we have a yard stick with which to measure our culture.
The Bible always gives immunity to the madness of our culture and our time.
