Genesis was first put to print in 1611BC, that was 3,632+/- years ago.

Now put yourself in that time frame. A time before the oceans and the American continent had been discovered. Does the information stated below seem a bit out of place for that time frame--?

The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.
8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth,
18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”
21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

During that time period, all they knew of the world around them was the Mediterranean Sea.
The Atlantic and the Pacific oceans had not been discovered yet. The evolutionary process stated therein is just now being proven to be correct. I admit that it was written to the local population of the time, yet it still rings true today.

Columbus sailed across the ocean in 1492; now was it BC or AD?

I believe God whispered in the ear of the author of Genesis, giving mankind a path of understanding to our existence and purpose.
What do you believe-?

I don't see any evidence of evolution in the Genesis account. Adaptation does occur. Also, the account states that land and sea were separated, but there is no mention of different continents. Most scientists agree that the continents were once one land mass. It's easy to see from a map of the world. The nations separated now are like jigsaw pieces.

I don't know how anyone can infer evolution from "God created". It does not say, "God created an amoeba which over billions of years became an elephant by an utterly unfathomable process".

Yes, God revealed His plan and purpose for mankind. It was to bring the earth back from total destruction (pre-Adamic creation) and to bring the creation into submission - including Satan. Adam failed. Lord Jesus succeeded. The church should be enforcing the victory won by Jesus. It's one thing to know the plan and purpose God has. It's another thing entirely to be devoted to the implementation of that plan and purpose. "Seek first the Kingdom of God......"

AD.
Thats 3,103 years after 1611 BC
Also we have no evidence of this supposed date set for Genesis to have been put into print.
Its widely believed that Moses authored Genesis, and it is believed that he lived approximately from the years 1526 - 1406 BC.
The words "after its kind" as it is used in the creation story of Genesis; kind of rules out evolution.
By the way scientist are full of stuffing. They dated some coal from the appalachian mountains at some odd number of millions of years old, but when it was boken open a modern (1800s) coffee cup was found inside. So theres always that. It seems the Dunning Kreuger effect is the only theory proven by the theory of evolution.

In Genesis 10:25 it says in the days of Peleg God divided the earth. 1 Chronicles 1:19 also mentions Peleg and says the inhabitants of the earth were divided by language. It is likely around the time of the Tower of Babel these occurred.

Not "put to print" but handwritten by Moses under divine inspiration. Probably around 1500 B.C. And put into printed form around 1500 A.D. when the first Rabbinic Bible was printed.
