"roll eyes". No, they weren't just bullies. They were much more than that. They were judged as terrorists. As I said earlier, I don't want to start the discussion all over again. I don't mean to frustrate you, but I don't know if this quote is in relation to the OP story or a fabricated quote. If it's about the OP, then no, it's not freedom of speech IF they made threats. That is illegal.

If it's not about the OP, then yes... a Black person calling White people crackers is freedom of speech. A White person driving near a Black party and makes racial insults is freedom of speech. But I'll repeat, threatening anyone (Black, White, Orange...) is not freedom of speech.

Okay, so you're for someone being locked up in jail, potential felony, fines, community service, etc... for insulting someone (these are the potential consequences for disorderly conduct). When someone feels they are insulted, you say there will be a tribunal to decide if it was an insult or not.

Literally everyone in the US will be going to court every month, every year... The taxes will have to go up even higher, people will have to spend their own money to pay for a defense when someone claims they were insulted. I can't think of a single insult someone could say to me that I would actually want them in jail for.

Also, under your proposal, a Christian could go to someone's home trying to preach the gospel, the atheist's sensibilities are hurt... they go to court. A rational judge will understand that an atheist might hate religion and that he has a right to his privacy in his own home... now he has to sentence the Christian for insulting/offending the atheist's sensibilities (which he did by the letter of the law). To say the Christian DIDN'T hurt the atheists sensibilities would be speaking FOR the atheist and unjust. I know atheists get offended and feel insulted by this... I've done the "insulting"...

You seem to think that because you believe Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior that if you did missionary work, you wouldn't be insulting anyone's sensibilities... Not everyone is a Christian and you are bound to insult someone if you do it long enough.

If the US every makes it so an insult is illegal, punishable by jail time, fines, community services... etc... Maybe it would be a good time to switch professions and go to law school. Rolling in money!

It's all Good. I am glad you used it. Because that is the goal.....restrict the Gospel.

In this world, the end game is getting rid of the gospel.

Give up/take away freedom of speech.......the Gospel will not be freely spoken of.

The ultimate goal is to restrict the Gospel. It is wholly offensive to religion and unbelievers.

Take a little freedom here,give a little freedom there......eventually the gospel is not freely available to whosoever.
