I think Dorothy Sayers answered correctly when she stated:
"Angels are pure intelligences, not material, but limited, so that they have location in space, but not extension. The practical lesson to be drawn from the argument is not to use words like 'there' in a loose, unscientific way, without specifying whether you mean 'located there' or 'occupying space there.' An infinity of angels can be located on the head of a pin, since they do not occupy any space there."
Which; however, brings us to the complication of qualifiers such as an infinity of angels can be located on the head of a pin only if God creates an infinity of angels and also permits them too.
Which, of course, leads into the question of how can God create an infinity of angels? But I digress... lolol.
