Ghosts, spirits, supernatural phenomena. What is your take on them?

I believe these entities actually exist. There are far too many credible stories from people who had practically nothing to gain (and often times much to lose) by reporting on them. There’s also video evidence in some cases.

Personally, I believe these are demonic forces of some kind. But I’d like to know more including what the Bible might say about them.

I believe all of those things are evil spirits (demons) and they usually fool people into believing they are lost loved ones. I believe our loves ones either go to one of two places and they cannot communicate with us at all. For example, my neighbor told my mother that they see their late mother in the kitchen sometimes.. They love it when she visits. It makes me so uncomfortable thinking about it especially because my bedroom is right next to their house!

Also Kris, you do not want to know about them, that is what they want! All knowledge is not god to have it can corrupt irrevocably.

They are evil angels, practicing deceit, to try to convince persons that such things exist, when they do not. King Saul was willingly deceived by such (1 Samuel 28:7), and one can read Revelation 16:14. People trust their 'experiences' more than the word of God. The fallen angels (physical, not aetheral, beings; 1 Corinthians 15:38-40, etc) trick people by several means, (1) light manipulation (Matthew 4:8; Luke 4:5), (2) mental manipulation (like hypnosis (which is what possession is, control of mind upon/over mind; Romans 6:16), suggestion (Genesis 3:1; Daniel 10:13; John 13:2), dreams (Job 4:12-21), etc), (3) physical manipulation (Matthew 17:15; Luke 9:42).

The eyes can deceive you. Trust the word of God over what you thought you, or what they thought they, saw. There is a lot more, but it is deep study for that. Most won't even believe about the physical aspect of angels, fallen or unfallen, and so long as they believe the deception (lie) of the devil (because they watch too much hollywood, and read too much spiritualistic material, and think that is how angelic beings are, athereal, of wispy substance, and it isn't true, at all, but they are as physical as you or I) about the very nature of the angelic beings down here on earth (1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10), they cannot understand the phenomena that is actually taking place, or how it even occurs. If we love the truth (John 17:17), we cannot be deceived by that which satan and his hosts do, or, even are.

A major deception coming, from a long time in the making, is the 'alien' counterfeit deception. Watch "Starfall" for that -

ghosts are supposed to
Be at least my understanding according to thre world dead peoples spirits who are on earth , I don’t agree with that .

but do agree with demonic forces in the earth it’s Satan and his angels evil spirits but in my view they aren’t ghosts of former people haunting the living ect

I think it would matter how we define a “ ghost “ Jesus Holy Ghost is present in believers because it’s the spirit of Christ who lived among us as a man. But I don’t think ghosts of other people are present on earth I think we have destinations into a spiritual realm either heaven or hell when we die

but your point about evil spirits is well taken and agreeable

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Satan was cast out of heaven and now is present with his angels evil spiritual beings but I wouldn’t say ghosts

we are given the Holy Ghost, so yes. I believe.
Without spirit, we can do nothing...God is Spirit, and we worship in spirit and in truth.

Demons are just unclean spirits. The Bible has a LOT to say about them. Jesus casts out demons and we can too.

I believe that what we perceive as ghosts can be a number of different phenomena. Certainly demonic activity accounts for a lot of it, and some of it -- like the "residual hauntings" which seem more like looped recordings of events which took place in the past -- I believe are natural phenomena that modern science hasn't been able to explain yet. But there does also seem to be an actual phenomenon of earthbound disembodied human spirits and Scripture doesn't contradict this. In fact, it appears that the disciples and even Jesus himself affirmed the existence of ghosts. See Luke 24:39, where he doesn't correct the disciples when they think he is a ghost after the Resurrection, but instead says that "a spirit does not have flesh and bone as you see that I have."

The tricky part is that while the Bible acknowledges ghosts, it doesn't clearly explain what they are -- although from the story of Saul and the witch of Endor, it would seem that they actually ARE disembodied human spirits. If they are disembodied human spirits, then they cannot be the spirits of believers since believers go immediately to be with Christ in heaven upon their physical deaths. It's my opinion (and only an opinion, but I think it is compatible with the witness of Scripture) that perhaps the spirits of some unbelievers remain bound to earth for a while. Since Hell (the lake of fire in Revelation 20:14) is not yet populated, the unbelieving dead are currently kept in Sheol or Hades. While we traditionally have thought of this as a location, maybe it would be more proper to think of Sheol as a state or dimension, in which case it could be possible that some who are in Sheol are still bound to the earth.

A great example of a ghost in the Bible is when the witch of Endor summoned the prophet Samuel.

This did not appear as a demonic or evil manifestation and Samuel communicated the Lord's will to Saul.

There are many spirits referenced that spoke on behalf of the Lord, and other spirits that didn't.

It's a fairly broad topic, but Biblically, yes, ghosts and spirits of various kinds are mentioned.

Demons, fallen angels, Nephilim, and who knows what other Satanic things are out there? They all flee at the name of Jesus, at least in my experience. I get the idea that they're terrified of it. They should be!

In our family it is common for someone to appear to a loved one at death, but never appear again. My grandmother's first fiance told her when he died at sea, my grandmother said goodbye to her sister, my daughter told her Dad not to grieve so as she was happy.

I went to see my uncle a few days before he died. he was one of the most honest men I’d ever known no matter what it was everyone knew he would tell the truth. It wasn’t even a question he would admit the truth even if it made him the guilty one

whe. I went to see him he waited until we were alone and told me his wife who had died a year or so before came to see him the night before and told him he would be coming home soon.

he said in a raspy old hillbilly voice “ now son , you know I won’t lie about it but she came as plain as day just as plain as you are sittin here she only stayed a moment and she spoke very softly but son , she was there “

I believed him and still do . She had lived a pretty secular life and then later in life had gotten cancer and just after that became a Christian. Some might doubt her conversion after the life she lived but I heard it in her voice and saw it in her eyes she had met Jesus and became a believer

she died shortly after about three months , but I was convinced she was a believer so I took his story as something God had done for him to ease his heartache missing her so much and to also comfort him as he was approaching the death of his body.

he was afraid before that but after he told me he had a peace about it .

Well.. dead people that are lifeless spirits.. not in heaven or hell yet.. aka Hollywood style.. you do not see in the bible.

Yes.. a spirit was conjured from the grave in the OT by a witch type, but that was the exception.. not the rule.

The spirits that are here are either Angel's or demonic. But not dead people still hanging about.

Hell or heaven are where dead people go according to the bible.

Most ghost accountsvcsn be debunked by eliminating other factors such as psychological states of the viewer..camera tricks or faults and lighting affects.
