This was a gift to our entire family and a long story, so I'll try to make it short.

Back in 1997 My mom and dad sold everything they had and we moved down to Wimberly, Texas with my dad's family. Things didn't work out down there and we ended up moving back to ohio a few months later. With nowhere else to go, my parents and my brother and I moved into my mom's parents' mobile home. We were all crowded into the spare bedroom and all slept in the same bed.

Lent was coming up and my dad had suggested to my mom fasting from red meat, so she did. Not too long after Easter, my mom got a call from one of her friends who was well aware of our living situation. She had told my mom that they were moving and that they wanted to give us their mobile home, which they had paid off some years ago. It wasn't in the best of shape and needed a lot of repairs and such, but it was definately livable. GOD had blessed us with our own home through my mom's friend!

I hope that all who read this will see the glory and the goodness of our Almighty Father in heaven. GOD is GREAT! I can't thank Him enough for all the blessings that He has poured on us, and all these blessings are available to all of God's children if only you believe :)

This is the sort of stuff I want to read on Christmas. :) Thank you!

When i was about 17 i was driving 2 other friends back to the house for pizza and movies, woot. On the drive home, on a higher speed, unlit, one lane each way road, a car coming the other direction came into my lane, head on. I swerved out of instinct, right in the direction of the 10 foot drop into a canal. But the other drivers car hit the rear of mine pushing me away from the canal. My car slid sideways right down the middle of the yellow line, i'd say a good 50 ft. It was raining, otherwise we would have rolled. A third car was involved, that hit the car that hit us, but we still managed to miss them completely. An off duty police officer witnessed the entire accident. And he had a cell phone (remember, this was 19 yrs ago). He had the call into 911 before we even got out of our cars. Also, i didn't have to worry about fighting over blame as the cop saw it was clearly the other drivers fault.
No one was hurt. On top of that, a friend of mine, and her daughter, were driving from a weekly meeting. She always drove home the same route, but this night she decided to take a different way home. Her daughter just caught a glimpse of me as they drove by, so they stopped to check it was really me. Once the police were done taking reports etc, she drove us all 2 blocks to the hospital to be checked out. i had shattered glass all over my face, but only one small cut on my nose. Then she drove us all home. Turns out the next night i had a meeting at her house, and she was able to plan ahead to pick me up beforehand.
My car was totaled. And the pizza didn't make it either : / haha

The poor pizza :D Cool story!

People would be amazed at the inexplicable protection God provides. I've seen His hand soooo many times, especially in my own life. I look back all the time at all of the risks I've taken, dangerous things I've done and, while I have suffered injuries, it is nothing short of miraculous that I am still alive today. God is beyond my vocabulary. :)

These are all nice :) glad you were alright ugly and the other people involved.

When i was 19 *also not saved then* I was in a vehicle that was out of control and we drove into an oncoming van. Somehow God kept me alive throught it all and after a long recovery I came to know the lord. I feel it was a gift from God to spare my life that day or else i would be in a terrible place right now, which still is hard to think about.

It's cool that you recognize that, skottie :)

I think one of these days, when we see Him face to face, we may be given full realization of everything He's protected us from, including ourselves..and we will be astonished.

I remember hearing a message at church once that people weren't being specific enough about what they pray for. So later when I was at home with my mother, who had heard the same message, we started talking about what item she wanted, a sewing machine, and I said we should pray for a portable one that hides away easy, but she said she always wanted an old fashioned foot treadle machine, one of the original singers like she had learned on. So we both prayed for an antique Singer. The next day at lunch her friend at work had just that, and antique Singer foot treadle sewing machine, in the back of her wagon, looking to get rid of it. She even loaded it into my mother's car for her.

lol Nice. I once prayed for someone to be healed. Their lungs were stiffening and filling up with fluid. Doctor said she had maybe a few weeks left. Turns out this was a year or two ago and she's been recovering.

One person got into a bad car accident. One of the people they were with in the car died, and they were holding on to life but were in a coma. Doctor expected the person to die or at least be 60% brain-damaged (whatever that means) if they ever came out of their coma. I prayed that he'd be completely healed and fine. Turns out he came out of his coma and was his regular self. Only problems he had were that his body needed time to heal, and he had lost some abilities in dealing with numbers that he had to regain.

These are all physical, and I consider them gifts from God.
