Bird houses!
I don't have a yard, but if I did, I've always said I'd like to set up a bird condominium something like this!

I was in a local Wild Bird Feed shop and they had some lovely selections!
However, I live in an apartment complex and unfortunately, they don't allow us to have bird feeders or houses.
Anything that sticks to the window could fall (especially since we get a lot of wind and rain,) causing potential damage or injury to pets or people, and the management doesn't want us purposely drawing birds due to the mess they will leave.
However, I have some potted plants and flowers outside my door, and I always try to leave extra water in their saucers, as I once came home and there was a little feathered friend drinking out of my flower pots.
A lot of people use window stickers - can be anything ...gels or static clings etc to stop birds from flying into the glass. If they think it's all clear and they can see sky in the window they won't think the glass is there and it's not pretty when a bird smashes into your window.
