Even after Christ's death, he confronted Saul on the road to Damascus. And said he was Jesus.
I have a Jewish friend who was converted because Jesus manifested Himself as she was working in her garden. And said he was Jesus. This was not a vision - but a "presence" that was very real.
Even now, we might not see him, but many have heard the voice of God. My own daughter, when she was wasted on drugs, heard God's voice audibly. He called her by name and asked her a question. It changed her life. Many others have "heard" God.
And when I am healed almost instantly, that is God's work. I know it is real. People are not involved.
We just can't put God in a box. He can use people and He can choose not to.

Choose ye this day whom you will serve... believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved... are those not invitations to exercise free will? God doesn't force any of us to do anything. We do it all by choice, choice is only availed via free will.

Youhave to go back to the very beginning. The thing about God's sovereign will isthat He generally chooses not to enforce it Himself. God created creation, andHe was in charge of it. God created man, and yielded His sovereignty to giveman authority over creation. His deal with Adam was, I'll walk with you, talkwith you, lend you an ear and give you advice, but what you say Adam, that’s whatgoes. You, Adam, are the authority. So Adam then gives that away to satan. Godcould have, in His sovereign power, taken it all back. But then that would put Him in authority, andthat wasn't what He wanted. His intent/will was for man to have authority.
So to restore what God intended/willed meant a man had to take authority backfrom satan. But who could do such a thing? Well, only God, coming to us as aman. So the Messiah comes and indeed takes back authority. But He has notreturned to enforce it. Power in the heavenlies is His, but satan still runsthe terra firma. That's where our partnership comes in. It's God's sovereignwill that we participate with Him in the enforcement of His authority overcreation. And we do that thru prayer and partnering in the gifts andmanifestations of the Holy Spirit.
I liken it as to a Sheriff. The sheriff holds the authority, but he doesn'tpatrol the streets chasing down perps. He has deputies who enforce hisauthority for him. Christ is our sheriff, we are his deputies, charged toenforce His authority in a land run by satan until He returns.
How does this help you? That means as a Christian you have Christ's authorityto strike back. I've always thought that you can tell how powerful one might befor God, by how hard hell works to hold them under. satan attacks people hesees as a threat the hardest. But Christ has overcome satan, ergo Christ in youhas the ability to pound him back - and harder.
With the knowledge that if we persevere we will see the day Christ comes backto pound him personally.
We are an occupying force in a hostile land. But it's rulers have beenovercome, and it up to us to rip them from their spider holes... and to not beintimidated by them. Greater is He that is in us, than he that isin the world - it's just up to us to act like it.
God yields his will to give us the authority to participate in bringing HisWill to bear in this world. Which was after all His original intent/will.

with zeal and furious divine jealousy as a cloak.
Incidentally the armour in Eph 6 really is God's armour! He gives it to us, how
amazing is that.
God is perfectly able to bring about His will if no person is willing to carry out His will.
He has the whole armies of heaven at His disposal.
But when we do not carry out His will we miss out on tremendous blessings and
we miss the opportunity to grow in our own understanding and faith and in our
relationship with God. Sure God could do everything but He wants a relationship
with us. If your parents did everything for you and never encouraged you to join
in with family activities. You would never learn anything, you would never get
to hang out with mum and dad. You would never learn to respect your parents,
you would probably grow up very selfish and never learn to give or share.
You would never learn life skills to stand on your own two feet etc.
There are so many more reasons these are just a few.

Doing some "ketchupping", but I hope someone here has mentioned that God DOES NOT always do His work through people. Does He do this a bunch? Sure, but not always.
Otherwise, I need to see Scripture as to which "people" created all that was created.......just saying.......

The Jews knew the manifested Word of the Lord as Memra...imrah. Its something I found fascinating. So He knowing the end from the beginning...outside of time...sees all.

I see free will differently too. No one has free will except God for free will would mean there is no one to answer to for our choices. We may think we have free choice...but again...He sees all, knows the end from the beginning. And acts accordingly.

It wouldn't be right If GOD gave dominion of the earth to man and then not let Adam (the first man)choose to be obedient to HIS WORD the TRUTH or disobedient to HIS WORD.
Part of a false movement was the teaching that God could not do anything in this world without us giving Him permission by our statement of faith in a particular area. I actually heard this taught by a man on the Benny Hinn program. I certainly do not agree with that belief, having experienced God do things for me for which I did not even ask, neither did it enter into my mind that God would do such a thing for me...He just did it for me because He wanted to.

He does give free will to us. He gave Adam and Eve free will to eat or not to
eat from the tree.
Satan manipulated that free will, which was intended to be a blessing.
God did not want robots He wanted sons and daughters who could have an
intellectual loving relationship with the Father. They were perfect emotionally,
physically, they had no doubts, anxieties, fears etc. But Satan wanted to be top dog.
Look at the parable of the seed, all the seed was sown, some even sprouted up,
only some of it produced true growth.
The Holy Spirit blows (goes where He wants to go) it might be to convict the chief
of sinners or that little old lady across the road. But ultimately we still have a
choice as to whether we heed that still small voice or not.
Satan is still working to manipulate those situations and to quash that seed.
That is why it is so important to pray for unsaved family and friends. Prayer breaks
the strongholds of Satan. We can't blame God if people are unsaved they have an individual
choice and we also need to do our part by helping to sow that word and pray.

I have a free will, I strive to warn all Christians whenever I can that the church today is under the thumb of Satan, believing in a false return of Christ and moving in the direction of worshipping Satan by calling the works of false spirits the Holy Spirit. The church is being set up for the great falling away when the Antichrist comes to power...and very few Christians are aware of it.
