I was raised up in a christian home but only a year ago that I really do have a personal relationship with Christ. I was brought up to believe that God death is the only means to reliese one from one's marriage vow. Less than one year after I got married, my husband started playing around with other ladies. For 21 years he has been unfaithful, and I knew that he is sleeping around with other women, both married and sigles but I made up my mind that only death will do us part and that I will remain faithful to him but most importantly that I remain faithful to God. I stayed with my husband for 21 years and we have 6 children. Their age, 21, 20, 18 (all boys) 15, 8 (girls) 2year old boy.
About two years ago, our two elder sons caught my husband fooling around with another lady (who has been married for more than 25 years and she had 6 children with a few grandchildren) they told my husband to go and be with the other lady and leave me alone and he did. My husband left and is now living with the other lady. (I can not even begin to imagine what her husband and kids went through when she left them to be with my husband.
For almost one year, I went through a period of mourning, selfpitied, feeling betrayed and neglected, feeling ugly and unwanted, hurt, angry, bitter and unforgiving etc, etc. Despite the way I felt, I still find myself, loving and missing my husband and I longs for him to come home. It has always been my prayer that God will bring him home to me and our kids. I email and tell him that I love him still despite the fact that he told me so many times that he does not love me anymore and that he loves the women that he is with now. I told my husband that I know that he does not love me anymore and It is fine with me but as for me I will continue to love him and continue to be fathful to him until the day that he died. I know that it iis God's only way of undoing my marriage vow.
It was more than a months ago, that God set my heart free. I went to pick up my kids from birthday party that my husband and partner hosted and when I went in I saw both of them and I went up and talk to my husband and I find myself sitting around in their party amazed to find that I no longer holds any ill feelings towards my husband. I saw him as he is just another human being that Christ died for and my husband and his partner both needed to be set free just the way I was set free by the blood of Christ.
A week went past, I went to the place where my husband lives and his partner and tell them that I have forgiven them of all that they have done in the past that hurt me and my children. I also told them if they could find it in their heart to forgive me for whatever that I have done, said or written about that have hurt them and their families. My husband did not say much but his partner said that she accepted my apology and she do also ask for my forgiveness for being part of the reason that breaks my family up.
I have experieced the unspeakable joy that the bible talks about and the peace that passes understanding. What I realized is that I treasure the things of above more than the things of this world. I am grateful that God set me free from the bondage of all the ill feelings that I have towards my husband and his partner. Now I pray for them that they too, one day experience God's love and forgiveness and be willing to surrender their lives to God. Who knows they maybe be used for noble purposes once they allow their lives to be instrument for God's glory.
I praise God daily that He has blessed me with 6 wonderful children and that for the rest of my life, it is my desire to live life to the full and just be submerge in His love, provision and protection. I believe that God can make a way where there seems to be no way. He can draw waters out of rocks. He can turn what the devil ment for evil in your life into your advantage. Each and everyday, I draw near to Him knowing that He will draw near to me too.
I thank God that He has given me a new heart not someone else heart or a recondition heart but a brand new heart. So I embrace each new day as a gift from God and I live it as God intends me to!!!!!!
Bless you all
