Not sure what you mean by this.

I love the scriptures about the armor of God, but the full armor is...the helmet of salvation to protect your thoughts from the condemnation Satan likes to heap on you.....breast plate of Christ righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace to spread His message to the world, the sword of Truth which is His Word, or the Holy spirit, prayers of fellow saints....shield of faith works better in phallus formation....and belt of...???

Which scripture speaks of the Law being our armour? The Law and God Word is different...Jesus did not rebuke Satan using the old covenant law but the wisdom found in God Word.

The 10 Commandments are called by the Jews God' moral laws, and the other laws were also given by God to Moses to write down and give to the people. When satan came after Jesus to try and tempt Him, Jesus did not use harsh words or belittle him He just simply quoted the written Commandments to fend him off.

We are told His word works the same for us, because by staying in sound doctrine of Christ will lead us not to give into the temptations of the world. We are to use His word as a weapon to fend off satan and his false apostles !!!

Old covenant law is a taskmaster, a tutor to lead people to Jesus but a worthless sword to defend against Satan.

Instead it condemns all as sinners. We are on need of the redeeming work of Christ on the cross.

Only then are we clean enough to do the work God saved and created us to walk in.

The Sword of Truth or the
Word is Christ Jesus, his Holy Spirit not old covenant laws.

It is good to read scripture and spot lies but Jesus said there will be those who say Lord Lord did I not cast out demons in your name?

However if you trust in Christ work on the cross and have that blessed assurance that you are saved. Then the Holy Spirit will reveal His truth and your life will display the good fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and self control.

Why did Jesus quote Deuteronomy 3 times to Satan to ward his off? Check out Leviticus 19:18 and Deuteronomy 6:5 and see if you find any love in those scriptures. Seems like most who reject don't even know what they are rejecting.

Yes Jesus quoted Deut. To rebuked Satan. Are we called to do the same? Are we called to follow all the old covenant laws? Are we called to be the Lamb of God and die on the cross?

No! We are under the New covenant. Perhaps everyone should discuss what that means instead of putting on a yoke God has already removed. Instead of being like eliphaz, learn what Job means when he exclaims that though he may be a sinner,but his redeemer lives. Learn how one can be held blameless even if they are not sinless.

Galatians 3 v.17 and this I say,that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.

What do you think this verse means?

Do you not see how the covenant made with Abraham fulfilled in Christ makes void the law and covenant given through moses?

Yes He used scripture against satan and did not use His own words, as He even said Himself that the Words He gives us is not of His own but they are from God. (John 12:49, 14:10)

Even the Apostles at times in the NT referred back to OT scriptures !!!

Matthew 4:4

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.


The old testament and the new testament both are the Word of God, and some things from the old testament do still have importance for us today rather it be for understanding, knowledge, and still applies !!!

We can never use half a scripture nor can we pull one scripture out of the bible to make it stand alone to build a doctrine off of. That is how all these man made doctrines are formed, by going by half of what is said or pulling scriptures to make them stand alone.

Some try to make verse 11 say that a person can continue how they were because they have been sanctified and saved now and thus their way of life will no longer keep them from salvation:

1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

That is not what that verse is even saying as Apostle Paul at verse 13 goes on to show that we have to still flee those sinful ways !!!
 
No man is sinless except Jesus Christ but some may be found blameless through the shed blood for the forgiveness of sin....nice straw man with the whole license to sin jab...will you set it on fire now?

Don't take the Bible out of context, the law never justified anyone. Only faith.

There is a difference between working to try and get into heaven an working because you know you are saved by grace and want to please your father, externally they look the same,but God does not judge by outward appearances but the inward heart.

I know without doubt I can cry Abba father and He will comfort me.

I also know God made us for different purposes. Some of us to be married, some to be single, some to eat meat, some to be vegetarians, some to eat only lockus and honey, some are called to honor a day above others, some to honor each day equally for His glory.

God tells us not to judge others as they do and live the life He has asked them in things that are Not sin but traditions.

For if we feast or fast it matter not as long as we do it unto the Lord.

However people cross the line when they condemn and judge others by their own standard of what God has told them to do.
 
I was just wondering how people can demean God's character be saying God did away with this or that of certain things He said previously in Biblical history. All that is revealed from a person that continues to say such things are showing that they can only see the carnal physical aspects of what should be seen as spiritual in the New Covenant. Can a person truthfully say that they have the indwelling Spirit in such cases, refusing to define, or being incapable of defining the spiritual understanding of God's spoken word?

It also should frighten some that say this, for it is clear that they are taking the “Lord's name in vain.” I read in posts quite often when referring to God's spoken word that He did away with it.
“God did away with that.”
“God did away with that.”
“That's been made void.”
“That part of His word has been abolished.”

That rhetoric repeated over and over actually makes me sick inside. Will we ever get past the carnal mindset by consistently labeling things as carnal when we should actually be searching diligently for the spiritual truth in all God has ever spoken?
