The bible dictionary states the word "Children" means sons and daughters.
"Discipline" means to correct,Teach what is right,Training that corrects molds or perfects moral character.
The Bible tells us that we are to train Children in the way that they are to grow. (prov 22v6)
Ephesians 6:1 tells us that children are to obey their parents in the Lord for it is right.
So then! children are to be trained by parents and they are to accept it and they are not to be rebellious.
THE CHILDREN OF GOD MUST OBEY HIM!!
In the book of (Deut 14v1) it is clearly noted that the children of God cannot live anyhow they please.
God expects his children to Live a devoted life and to reverence God.
It is also important to understand as children of God that we will be Disciplined by God.
Heb 12v5-11 teaches us that you are to Value the Lord's Discipline:
(i) If you are not Disciplined by God the father then you are not one of God's children (v 7-9)
(ii) Discipline will most likely be painful at first but after it has run it's course,it will produce fruits of righteousness.
(iii)If we are commanded to obey our earthly parents and we obey/Respect them when they are correcting us, then we must subject our self to God and Live.
(iv) He does it Because he Loves us.
(V)God comforts his children in times of Distress(Isaiah 66 v13)
If you are been corrected by God because you have done something wrong,be of Good courage!! it is because God Loves you why he is correcting you.Be a Good Son/Daughter and Give Father God the chance to Mold you! you will be happy when he is finished!! BE Blessed!!
