Who hasn't had their heart broken? Who hasn't taken and unintended path? and is there anyone who hasn't had hope shattered? It all hurts. And it hurts badly! Hurt is part of my personal history. I have lived the brokenness of heartbreak. No one stands at the altar pledging love and in the back of their mind hopes I will fall apart someday. When it does fall apart, your life begins to unravel. Your heart is broken....
Then one day your in the mirror and cant recognize the person looking back. The "you" that once was isn't there anymore. All that is left is this thing called brokenness. Believe it or not, this can be a good thing.
From God's perspective, brokenness is either a portal to healing or to despair. Its a portal to healing when someone gives in and lets God make them over and let me say he can make you into a symbol to others of what can be done when someone is broken and latches on to God to become whole again in ways people would never believe. Sometimes God uses you to show others of how they can survive the brokenness of a heartbreak or anything else. Look at it like you are just living proof for God to show others and that you are living his purpose and doing what he wants you to achieve what he needs to give you what you need. But its a portal to despair when someone keeps covering up the hurt and pain, or when they cant let go of the hurt. That's when the seeds of bitterness grow.
Some, though, become honest about their brokenness and hope emerges. They look for lifelines. When broken people get honest, they're not trying to fool anyone anymore. God can work with that kind of life.
God seems to have deep affections for hose who have fallen apart. Its like he enjoys helping pick up pieces of their lives. Allow yourself to come to the end of the rope. I think that's sometimes the hardest thing for a woman to do and a man. I have been there. But here is the truth: that's where God will meet you.
God is close to the broken hearted because he knows then you are vulnerable enough to give in to him and give up everything because everything then feels so bad but just let go and let God handle t and you will see differences like never before.
