It pleases me to announce that after a year and a half of fighting denials, I received news from my lawyer yesterday that I have been approved for both SSI AND Disability. I found out within the next week what the exact amount is, but they took my backpay to July 2009, almost a year before I even applied! God is good, praise His name!! This takes so much stress and burden from my shoulders!
 
lol, congrats. I just so happened to get my letter from the VA yesterday making my disability permanent and total. I had been receiving the benefits for about 4 years now, but now it is locked in that I will get it forever.

That backpay is nice too. I don't have SSI, but I feel bad for the people who have to depend on it sometimes, it doesn't pay much. But God bless, I hope it works out for you :)
