Jesus came down and died on the cross because God promise to send Him, Genesis 3:15 (I will make you and the woman enemies to each other. Your children and her children will be enemies. You will bite her child’s foot, but he will crush your head.”). God promise to send His soon Jesus Christ in past that was in the beginning.
Jesus came down and did his work as promised by father.
After completing His work, Jesus promised to send a Helper which is the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit came down during the time of Pentecost. And the work of the Holy Spirit was going to be done by Peter which Jesus promised him.
Actually all the apostles were there when Holy Spirit came down but the entire apostles die and were not settled at one place.
The apostles were distributing the gift of the Holy spirit to everyone but due to the wide spread persecution, the work of the apostles slowly fade away and finally die out.
Now the Good news of Jesus Christ came out to the entire world but the work of the Holy spirit did not come out.
This is because the apostles where only the ones who receive the strength of distributing the gift of Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit did not come out. If the work of the Holy spirit come out to the entire world then there should be one church as Jesus Promised peter. Since peter and the rest of the Apostles died, the work of the Holy Spirit ceased.
This may be because God wants to fulfil all the scripture in the bible.
Secondly, the Gods only people reject Holy Spirit.
There are 3 set of promise in the bible,

  1. First promise=God promise to send his son-Geneses 3:15
  2. Second promise= Jesus promise to send holy spirit -John 14:26
  3. Third promise= God promise to use a foolish nation to make Israel cry- Deuteronomy 32:21
The 3 promise is in line with the work of the Holy Spirit because the work of the Holy Spirit ceased in Israel. The work is actually the distribution of the Gift of the Holy Spirit and that was actually ceased. No one in the world knows how to distribute the gift of the Holy Spirit like peter and Paula and the apostles did.

The work

Acts 8:15-17[SUP]15 [/SUP]When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, [SUP]16 [/SUP]because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Peter and John Placer their hands on them and they receive Holy Spirit. That indicated that they have not receive the Holy Spirit but only the disciple receive the Holy Spirit and they are the ones that can distributer Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:[SUP]15 [/SUP]When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
Acts 8: [SUP]17 [/SUP]Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Since they are the ones that receive the Holy Spirit they have the authority to distribute the Holy Spirit.
Paul also did the same thing on the other side,
Acts 19:1-4, While Apostles was at Corinth; Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples [SUP]2 [/SUP]and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”
“John’s baptism,” they replied.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” [SUP]5 [/SUP]On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 19:6-7 [SUP]6 [/SUP]When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. [SUP]7 [/SUP]There were about twelve men in all.
Act 11:15 “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

The actual work of the Holy Spirit ceased and is still unknown.

The gift of the Holy Spirit are stated in the 1Corintain 12:7-11, Something from the Spirit can be seen in each person. The Spirit gives this to each one to help others. [SUP]8 [/SUP]The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak with wisdom. And the same Spirit gives another person the ability to speak with knowledge. [SUP]9 [/SUP]The same Spirit gives faith to one person and to another he gives gifts of healing. [SUP]10 [/SUP]The Spirit gives to one person the power to do miracles, to another the ability to prophesy, and to another the ability to judge what is from the Spirit and what is not. The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak in different kinds of languages, and to another the ability to interpret those languages. [SUP]11 [/SUP]One Spirit, the same Spirit, does all these things. The Spirit decides what to give each one.

The 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] promised was mad during the time of Moses (Deuteronomy 32:21They made me jealous with things that are not really gods. They made me angry with their worthless idols.
So I will use people who are not really a nation to make them jealous.
I will use a worthless nation to make them angry
.). Isaiah also boldly stated about the same promise (Isaiah 63:10 Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.)

Acts21:10[SUP] 10 [/SUP]after we had been there for several days, a prophet named Agabus came from Judea. [SUP]11 [/SUP]He came to us and borrowed Paul’s belt. He used it to tie his own hands and feet. He said, “The Holy Spirit tells me, ‘This is how the Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the man who wears this belt.[SUP][b][/SUP] Then they will hand him over to people who don’t know God.’”

Romans 11:17, [SUP]17 [/SUP]It is as if some of the branches from an olive tree have been broken off, and the branch of a wild olive tree has been joined to that first tree. If you are not a Jew, you are the same as that wild branch, and you now share the strength and life of the first tree.

God promise to use a foolish nation and they are the wild ones God will use to make Israel angry.

All the Gods promise will be fulfilled before the heaven and earth pass away.

Summary

  • Only the gospel of Christ went out to the entire work but not the work Final work of God Holy Spirit

  • God will fulfil all his promise, the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] and the last promise is yet be fulfilled.

  • God the father did his work already so as the God the soon but the work of the God the Holy Spirit is yet to be done.

Jesus is the one who baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. To anyone who asks now. Remember, the Holy Spirit just fell on the people who were listening to the Word - none of the Apostles even laid hands on them at that time.

People are receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit all the time, and you see evidences of it here and there in lives. The gifts are fully operating too. They haven't ceased.

Anyone who has Christ living in them has the fullness of the Spirit in them. God said I will "Pour my Spirit upon all flesh (Acts 2:17)" men and women alike". It is from the Lord - not from the Apostles. And we receive the Holy Spirit by faith. We also receive His gifts by faith when we recognize the calling to minister those gifts.

Be filled with the Spirit - Eph. 5:18 - It is very available to us now.

Where are you getting your teachings? But I discern that you are sincere in what you believe and want to share those beliefs.

No Jesus said you will be baptised in Holy Spirit and Jesus also said that He will ask the Father to send a helper. Jesus Never baptised us.
Acts 19:1-4, While Apostles was at Corinth; Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples [SUP]2 [/SUP]and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”

Paul ask them did you receive when you believe. They said no we did not receive. It is a spiritual baptised therefore, Paul prayed so that they may receive Holy Spirit.
It is true that Jesus promise to send a holy spirit but the Holy Spirit was not sent everyone. Even when they believe in Jesus they did not receive Holy Spirit and it’s clear.

Acts 8:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Its clear that Peter and John place their hand on them and they receive holy Spirit .

The Helper Jesus sent was the Holy Spirit - Who is also the Spirit of Jesus that we all receive when we receive Jesus as our Savior. The reason the disciples on the road hadn't received the Holy Spirit was that they didn't know about Him. And He is received by faith. Yes, they laid hands on them and prayed for this to happen. But the Spirit did fall on people who never had hands laid on them in Acts.

No Apostle laid hands on me and yet I know I have the fullness of the HOly Spirit in me - bringing His gifts, etc.

You can not have Christ living in you and not have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ that He leaves with us now to manifest His presence to us.

If you don't agree with me, this will be the end of this discussion. I'm not going further with this. The HOly Spirit will lead you into truth as you continue in the Word of God and prayer. I've had 60 years studying the bible and praying for wisdom. Those years have not been wasted.

The bible says that in the Last days he will pour out Hisspirit
Acts 17-20
[SUP]17 [/SUP]‘God says: In the last days
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young men will see visions.
Your old men will have special dreams.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]In those days I will pourout my Spirit
on my servants, men and women,
and they will prophesy.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]I will work wonders in thesky above.
I will cause miraculous signs on the earth below.
There will be blood, fire, and thick smoke.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]The sun will be changedinto darkness,
and the moon will be as red as blood.
Then the great and glorious day of the Lord will come.

The bible says it the last days and it was not in the pastor at the beginning. The Holy Spirit came down in the beginning.
The above bible text says that in the last day. Act 11:15[SUP] [/SUP]“AsI began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at thebeginning. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Then I remembered what theLord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you willbe baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
During the last God will send His Holy Spirit and he willalso show signs and wonders on the Ground and above to indicate that his holyspirit was poured down.
When you follow along with the signs and wonders, most ofthe signs and wonders are taking place at our time so do you know where theholy spirit of God was poured out?

Please do not leave me alone, and do not get on me. Please can we discuss without feeling anything. I do respect that you have study bible for many years and I also do respect that you are a Christian. Please ignore me if you do not like my discussion but please discuss with me with what you know and please ague. Argue with me. I like to accept criticism and I like opposite ideas and I’m also satisfied when I fully share my ideas and knowledge and I accept myself when others never accept me.
