The Lord spoke to me in 1988, not long after I got saved in June, 1985 saying Judgement begins at my house, will you be able to stand? This was before the Jimmy Swaggart and the Jim baker scandel, then one day on my birthday he gave me a beautiful poem titled The One, I wrote it out word for word as he gave it, and had it copywrited, another time he told me he was fixing to bring judgment on a preacher I was setting under at the time, he was doing several things wrong in the church, and apparently not at all sorry for his sins, in about a week he had a stroke, another time i bought a mobile home and had it delivered to our farm, the next door neighbor did not want it there, so he burned it the first night it came, I cried out to the Lord in anguish, He said Your hands are clean, I will recompense, I will deal shrewdly with those who dealt deviously, and I will repay. The man soon had a stroke, and the insurance company that I had just spoken to over the phone, agreed to pay me for the mobile home, not what i had paid but what the home was actually worth, (God is an awesome God) Another time he woke me up in the middle of the night and told me to pray for a certain woman that i knew, I did and went back to sleep, I ran into her a few days later and told her what had happened, the look she gave me spoke volumns, she admitted to being in trouble even though she did not say what,he spoke thru actions when a hail storm came thru, and there was a cover that i could get under to protect my vehicle, and at home the roof was destroyed and two heavy duty plastic chairs, but on the other side of the house the cars rear end was sticking out from under the carport, and was not damaged, I had no insurance on the car, but was covered with the roof, he showed me thru that just how meticulous he can be.
.Another time my late husband walked into our bedroom and over to me and kissed me ever so sweetly on the lips, linguring for several seconds, then it was over and he disappeared, but the sweet spirit remained for several minutes. Another time I was getting ready to go to the bank with my husband to sign a new loan, the Lord strongly impressed upon me to not do this, I told my husband, but he scoffed it off, refusing to not go thru with the loan, it turned out to be the hardest loan we had ever attempted to pay, and before that the same thing happened with a preacher that we were going to sign on for a loan for a church building, but again he refused to listen, and again the loan turned into a nightmare, at one time it seemed as if we were going to loose everything we had worked for due to failure on the pastors part, but God graciously rescued us, just in time.

All of this was years ago, and he has been silent for a long time, but I believe that is my fault because i have not been faithful to be in his word. Forgive me Lord.

I wish God would speak to me as He does you!
smiling as I read @Silverwings post :D (and replying based on my own experiences):

sometimes, it's just a still, soft voice. So often, it is easy to miss.

Jay, open your Bible, that's His written Word to you......
James 4:8 says to draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Quiet down your busy mind/life and do as Psalm 46:10 says
"Be still and know that He is God..."

With humility, fully aware of your dependency on God, inquire of Him - ask Him a question.....

.....He answers on His own time - whenever and however He chooses to do so.

It could be right away, after a couple days, from the Bible, in a dream.....however He chooses, but you will know He answered you.

Just go ahead, start the conversation........ enjoy!(y)

The Lord is speaking to all of us on a daily basic!!! SEEK and you shall find!!!( Matt 7:7) What has helped me so much brothers and sisters is to focus your mindset on being and STAYING THANKFUL!!!! No matter what!!( Daniel 3:16-18) and this big one!!! ( 1 Thess 5:18) I have found that one who looks to stay in his will he will revel much in ones life!

What Holy Spirit has reveled so far to me about this situation lies in 1 Peter 1:7-9 And this" behold the world has lost its way due to man himself,it is the season for believers to learn this( Rom 8:14-16) and Rom 13:11-14!!! And for the world to seek my face, for I never caused this!!!( Gen 50:20) But FEAR NOT!!! For as the eyes of my children follow in me( Rom 8:14-15)

I shall heal the land once again! And yes!!! I do TEST!!!( 1 John 4:1) You may judge for yourself. ( Phil 4:7-9) Follow these instructions and you shall have what I have!!!!! PERFECT PEACE!!!! And it ain't easy either!!! LOL Blessing to you all!!

That is the most awesome thing in the universe, to actually know that God has revealed Himself to you. I have learned that, just as the Bible tells us, God chastises those whom He loves. I have found that the scary part is, if we refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit, we better be prepared for some unimaginable chastisement! It has happened to me on several occasions until I finally realized why. And it finally dawned on me that I needed to stop regarding myself as intelligent, because I have a lengthy history of stupid choices and ignoring the voice of the Holy Spirit. Thank the Lord Jesus for His longsuffering, love, and grace!

Job 33-14, He speaks to us all the time, we just don't perceive it. Once we begin to perceive it, we can acknowledge and grow in Him. He will grow us all in as much as we will be grown.

In Exodus 13:20-22 God said that the pillar of cloud and fire never departed from Israel. So He was in their presence all the time. The Hebrew word mush, is being translated as “He took not away” and the Hebrew picture is not God following His children or walking next to them, it is God physically putting His hand on us to comfort us and guide us. When we are in relationship with our King, He will guide us. The Bible teaches us God speaks with us every day, we just need to listen. :)

I do too Jay, but now i find myself wishing he would speak to me again. Have you asked him to?

The Lord spoke to me 28 yrs ago....it was constant for 3 yrs.....then nothing.....for 25 yrs.....he has brought me back into his will in that area......it’s like my spirit has come alive in him once again.....I have purpose,peace,assurance......it’s like the part of the jigsaw puzzle ....that I felt was missing....is now in its place......I sincerely believe everything happens in God’s timing....plus all in his strength....we can do nothing in our own strength....plus we are nothing without God!......

You were kissed by a spirit?

No questioning of your experience here. Your experience is your experience and we are to take everything before the Lord if we have a question.
Thank you and bless you for sharing.

Silverwings, God does speak to us at the right time, and in the right seasons.
I had not heard from him directly for several years, until I was talking to
a couple who told me how much they loved Jesus. They were old, and the husband was
especially frail. I was told that they would love their new home. ( in Heaven )

You will also hear from him again in his time, I am sure.
God bless you.

In my experience (37 years as a Christian), the more you pray, the more God will talk to you, you'll also need to listen to hear Him! Isaiah 66v2, John 14v21, James 4v6-8...

'The still, soft , voice of God". Reminds me of NFL coach Tony Dungy, he didn't raise his voice in the locker room, he spoke softly with the expectation they would pay attention and hear him. We are to "Keep our minds stayed on Him". Dr. Leaf has taught on the science of how the brain was made to be in contact with another being about every 10 seconds.
