This may seem kind of simple and goofy, but I think it is very important. A few days ago I was driving back home from my brother's house in Louisiana, where it had been raining profusely. Sometimes the rain was so bad that I could barely see the road. I was soon to pass through Baton Rouge traffic during lunch hour with the heavy rain. This concerned me because if anyone reading this has been to Baton Rouge, then they will understand. It is very dangerous to go through that kind of traffic not being able to see. So I decided to pray and ask God to help me out and stop the rain in Baton Rouge if it was in his will. I figured it couldn't hurt to just ask. Sure enough, as soon as I reached the 'entering Baton Rouge Parish' sign, the rain instantly let up to a sprinkle. As soon as I came upon the city, it ceased entirely, the clouds parted, and the sun came out. I never doubted the Lord, but it still astonished me because of the manner in which he did it. I later got stuck in traffic near the end of the city for a whole hour. I looked around to see heavy rain clouds all around me, but for that whole hour not one drop of rain fell until I was long out of the city onto safer road. You can bet I was praising God the whole way home for that! Maybe I am just being too observant or too silly. Maybe it would have stopped raining anyway if I wouldn't have prayed, but the fact remains that I DID pray and it DID happen. And if it didn't, then I still believe that God would have guided me through safely. Well, that's it. I hope this helps in some way and I hope that you will ask God for help in all situations- big or small.
Praise God.
