Our family adopted a dog from an organization dedicated to rescuing strays from the streets. Some once lived in homes where they were abused and neglected. Others were born on the streets and never had anyone love them at all. Our dog adoption reminded me how God adopts us into His family. We can't fathom the value we have as part of God's kingdom or the love He has for us just like my dog cannot possibly understand how much we would do for her and love her.
Dear Lord, I pray for us to comprehend our value as Your adopted children. Thank You that You love us with an inestimable love we can never truly know. In Christ's Name, Amen.
