Show me in the Bible where it says we must accept Christ.
it doesn't say accept but it does say believe
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. to believe in something is up to youor you can not believe

Matthew 16:15-17

"He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?' Simon Peter replied, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' And Jesus answered him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.'"
🔹 Peter’s faith and confession of Christ were not from his own understanding but were revealed to him by God.

All these verses reinforce that faith is not something we earn or produce—it is a divine gift given by God's grace.

yes but I have to accept the debt being paid off it only can be paid off by you and have nothing to with me assuming that the gift is already paid for without my knowledge
The gift was paid for on the cross. Salvation is simply the point in time God let you know what He has done.

Ephesians 1:3-4

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him."
🔹 Our faith and salvation are part of God's eternal plan, given before we even existed.

Jeremiah 32:39-40

"I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me."

🔹 God is the one who gives His people a heart to fear and follow Him. Faith and reverence for God are His work in us.

Belief or faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The source of faith is the Spirit of God employing the word of God...that is the power of the gospel Paul is not ashamed of.

Acts 16:14

"One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul."

🔹 Lydia believed only because God opened her heart to receive the gospel.

yes this is true what is being questioned is whether or not one can choose to accept what he has done on the cross. Do you believe you were saved from birth or did you have to come to salvation?

Romans 8:29-30

"For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified."

🔹 Faith is part of God's calling, and those whom He calls, He also justifies and glorifies.

2 Timothy 2:25

"Correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth."

🔹 Even repentance, which goes hand in hand with faith, is something that God grants

John 3:27

"John answered, 'A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.'"

🔹 Even faith itself is something that must be given from above.

My sins were paid for on the cross. My salvation was determined before the foundation of the world. It became real to me in time and space when God birthed faith in me one day employing the word of God.

No. Salvation still needs to be worked out in an individual's life. When I was born I was dead in trespasses and sins as it says in Ephesians 2.
ok so did you make an active decision to accept what was done for you or was the decision made for you?

I believed in Him. I received Him according to John 1:12-13. I didn't do anything to receive Him. It was done by God.

Can you show me from scripture where it says we need to accept Christ? I've never seen it.

ok so you had to believe in that is a verb meaning it was done by you meaning also you accepted him. the scriptures do not say accept but they do say believe to believe in something is to accept the truth of something

so you did have something to do with your salvation you had to believe in him meaning you accpeted what was done for you
