Chisa 08...I totally understand...I am an art teacher...been there, done that..I've taught in private and public schools over the years...I've had many splendid days and many tearful nights. Teaching is such a reality check. There is always an adventure to be found that it boggles the mind. You have to keep up with schedules, State expectations, parent's expectations, Administration's expectations...and you, as a teacher, are also the target to the students at times. My feet hurt at the end of the day...my mind is blown...my attitude begins to drain, and my wallet is never full of money! Yet, here I am...in my 60's still vibrantly teaching, laughing, crying and caring. I can't remember the names of my students but I never forget a face. Teaching involves total surrender. It cannot be done lightly. You are a parent, a counselor, a disciplinarian, a friend, an example, a co-worker, and so much more to a student. You can never assume anything about today's world. You have to live in the trenches and see life in some of it's worse reality. Yet, once you are bitten by this desire to TEACH..nothing else can take it's place! GOD bless you!!!!!!!
