Interesting post in view of the recurrent posts made on this forum in which its members continually attack liberals, Democrats, and feminists. Somehow, every problem in this society is fully attributable to them according to the right wingers.
But what does the Bible say?
My favorite book in the Bible is Amos. There people who claim to love the Prince of Peace will see that it is economic injustice which is the cause of society's ills. Mistreat the poor and God will severely punish society. What exactly did they do in Israel that brought about God's wrath?
They "remembered not the brotherly covenant" {A 1:9}
'sold righteousness for silver" {2:6}
"planted dust on the heads of the poor" {2:7}
"oppress the poor" {4:1}
God then says, "foreasmuch as ye oppress the poor" {6:11},
"thy palaces will be destroyed" {3:11} (like the World Trade Center)
"thy children will die in foreign lands" {7:17} (Iraq, Afghanistan)
"there shall be pestilence" {4:10}
"floods" {9:5}
Prepare to meet thy God! {4:12}
Instead of continually blaming libs, fems, and Dems, people here need to take a good long look at the economic situation where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. If Jesus was preaching online or on tv this is exactly what he would be saying.
