The sun shines brightly
The days are warm
Summer is with us, shimmering
Across the miles of shore.
The cherries are ripened,
Apricots, a ways to go
And apples come last of all
Just before the winter snow.
The vineyards are full of grapes,
They make the hillsides seem alive,
In time, they will give us a glass
To drink, or maybe even five.
The bubbles will make us warm
As they softly flow into our dreams
And help us come alive,
To see more than
We've ever seen.
And the happiest thought:
Is to feel it all with our Lord.
