I think it was a famous Time magazine cover and a quote by Fredrerick Nietsche (sp?)

This issue is from April 8, 1966 so quite some time ago. I haven't read the article, I suppose you can find it in the library/archives somewhere if they kept it.

Huh I thought more people on CC would have seen this movie, instead of accusing me of promoting the movie Gone With the Wind and implying I should watch something more Christian instead. IDK

Nope. Never seen it.

Nietzsche's statement that God is dead does not mean he believes there is a God and that God died. He believed humans used to be weak enough that they needed the idea of a God to get them through their life. But now we have evolved to be stronger so we do not need a concept of God to lean on. So god, as a concept, is dead.

It's an American Christian movie. I just found out its become a series thats up to number 5.
Huh never knew. I saw the first 2 but had no idea they kept going with it.

Your thread??? Please post your thoughts on these movies! It's been a while since I've seen them. I saw the first 2. I don't have tubi or whatever you have. I remember seeing the first one at the cinema, and the second I think came out on dvd. That's how long ago it was!!

Still waiting to discuss these movies. I can't believe nobody here has ever seen them. In the movies, they made out like in the USA being a Christian is something you can be persecuted in court for.

I've seen it and at least two sequels. I don't remember what was in the movies, but I liked them.

I've been waiting for years for the sequel to "Passion of Christ" to come out. The latest release date is sometime next year.

Wow I've never seen that movie and I remember it was a huge deal when it came out, but I was scared to watch it because of the gruesome Crucifixion scenes.
I've seen other Jesus movies though not that one.

I'm going to see Jesus Christ Superstar live on stage in November...a movie was made of it I haven't seen either.

The Jesus movie I saw was just called Jesus and was based on the gospel of Luke. It was released on video, that's how old it was. I've also seen The Nativity about His birth. Keisha-Castle Hughes (a kiwi) played Mary.

i saw the first one, knew they made more, did not watch the other ones,

the original was pretty good, solid Christian message with a little humor thrown into few places..
