To be "known" by Christ is to receive His Holy Operation (of Faith). This is the same Operation of Faith that Abraham received, thus explaining why we are to possess his same, exact Faith.

It is frustration of mine that whilst our hearts have been circumcised (of the sinful nature), we still have a battle with sin.

If I may make a suggestion for long I shared your frustration. Galatians 5:16 says as we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The Spirit cannot lead us into sin.

We are also called to delight ourselves in the Lord. Strong desires are not so much overcome by a lessening the desire, but as it is replaced by a stronger desire. Here the 23rd Psalm is most instructive. The Lord is meant to be an all satisfying resource to the believer. The Psalm enumerates the great and total provision that God makes for His people. Our dissatisfaction in life comes not from lack of provision, but our attempts to find satisfaction in things that cannot satisfy.

As I'm writing this addressing your post, I have no idea where you are at spiritually and am not attempting to judge you in any way...merely offering iron in case you could use some sharpening.

Yes, today's church has uncircumcised hearts. But I do not feel that this group of people are the True Church. The True Church is any person whom the Lord has chosen to give new hearts, a new spirit, and cleanses with Pure Water, etc. (Deut 30:6, Eze 11 & Eze 36).

This is a great question. I would offer that there is a vast volume of Scripture that would assist a person in concluding that an uncircumcised heart belongs to a person who remains Cursed. This Curse is specific to the "fall" of Adam and Eve as described in Romans 5. Any person who has not had their heart Spiritually Circumcised by Christ is Spiritually dead.

Colossians 2:11, 13 NLT - 11 "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. ... 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

The first time that Spiritual Circumcision is mentioned in the timeline, chronological order of New Testament Scripture is by Stephen (in his remarkable Acts 7 speech). In the early part of his speech, Stephen references the physical circumcision of Abraham. At the end of his speech, he spoke of the problem that these teachers and leaders suffered from . . . "uncircumcised hearts and ears," thus they resist the Holy Spirit as did their "fathers." These are the offensive Words that caused him to be stoned to death. Stephens crime? He was offensive with the Holy Truth.

Anyone who resists the Holy Spirit belongs to Satan until Christ Redeems them from his evil Captivity, only to be taken (Transformed) as captives of God with the express Purpose of spreading His remarkable and Mysterious Plan . . . which is Christ.

A person whose heart has been regenerated will be Transformed, sometimes quickly (as did Saul/Paul) and some more slowly, such as Peter. That said, a Circumcised heart is no longer controlled by Satan, but by the Spirit of God (IF His Spirit is within).

Romans 8:9 NLT - "But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)"

As Scripture states, if we do not sense being "controlled" by the Spirit, it is unlikely that God is our Father, but that Satan remains our Spiritual Father.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 NLT - "Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants."

2 Corinthians 2:14 NLT - "But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ's triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.

The question now becomes . . . Who identifies with being held captive by God to spread His Holy Word? This is one of the best ways to determine if we might be saved. Are we Spiritually caused to Truly know the Gospel and thus spread it?
