the creation act of God makes NO MENTION of 'the Sabbath'
Correct, my mistake. Only that God rested after Creation. My point was it didn't mention what day of the week it was on. LOL
Seems God's Word disagrees with you.

Let's look at the scriptures.......

The Sabbath was made on the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week and given to Adam and Eve. Let's look at the scriptures........

Genesis 2
1,
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2,
And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made.
3,
And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

RESTED H7673 שָׁבַת shabath (shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion. {used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific)}[a primitive root]KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep Sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.
Yep the Hebrew word used here means to REST BY KEEPING SABBATH
Some points to note from the scriptures in Genesis above...............

v1 God completed creation in 6 days and RESTED on the SEVENTH DAY
v2
God RESTED on theSEVENTH DAY
v3
God SET APART the SEVENTH DAY and made THE SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY
v2 The
SEVENTH DAY is part of the FINISHED WORK of the CREATION WEEK

Let's now look at God's 4th commandment............

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God <Reference to Genesis 2 and creation week>: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT. <Reference to Genesis 2 and creation week>

SABBATH H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath (
shab-bawth') n-e. 1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest.[intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) Sabbath. Root(s): H7673Now who did God make the SEVENTH DAY a Holy day for? Is he making that day a Holy day for himself? Of course NOT God is already Holy. He has made the day HOLY for MANKIND.Let’s see what Jesus says…………

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath.
The Sabbath was made for WHO? The Sabbath was made for MAN. So here we have the God of creation telling us why the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week was made a Holy day and it was made for MANKIND

STRONGS Greek MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n.
1.
(literally) man†-visage (i.e. a man-faced being, a man who has visibly come of age).
2. (concretely, in Hebrew) a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). 3. (generically, in English) a human being. 4. (indefinitely) a certain man (i.e. someone).
[from G435 and ops “the countenance” (from G3700)] KJV: certain, man Root(s): G435, G3700
So the Sabbath was made for Human beings; clay beings (we are made out of the dust); male and female

So God made the SEVENTH DAY of the week a HOLY day and blessed it for MAN this now ties in very nicely with the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) God says that it is a specific day which is the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK that he has made to be a HOLY DAY for mankind.

Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis is where God made the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY;

God’s 4th commandment to His people that says to REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP it a HOLY DAY and Jesus stating that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND (Human beings; male and female).

Now if God made the Sabbath for mankind then obviously Adam and Eve had the Sabbath the GREEK Word for MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n. is a clay being(a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). There is only two people made out of clay (dust) and that is Adam and Eve.

Yep God's Sabbath given to mankind in the Garden of Eden and made in the Creation WEEK.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE it. Those that do not BELIEVE God's Word are UNBELIVERS and UNBELIEVERS have no part in God's Kingdom.

.............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Abraham's father sold Idols. One day while watching these Idols in the market for his father Abraham put them to the test. He knocked them over and said if they were gods they could stand themselves up. They could not and that is when he started seeking the True and Living God. We were all pagans until we accepted Jesus. Lol
Please cite chapter and verse. Where does that come from?

If you are still in your SINS God's Word says you have not seen him or KNOW him....

HOW CAN WE KNOW IF WE KNOW GOD?

1 John 2
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.
1 John 2:1-3 Subject:- Jesus Christ our advocate.

He (Jesus) is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his (Christ's) commandments.

Jesus said
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." (Joh 14:15 KJV)

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; (John 15:10a)

Do as you preach in red, but for goodness sake, get it right. John is talking about the commandments of JESUS. You are in error!

Goodness, so you trust in the wisdom of men more then the WORD of GOD? The WISDOM of this world is foolishness with God because the fool says in his heart there is no God.

If your line of reasoning was true then you make God out to be a liar and God's people never knew what day the Sabbath was. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.
The Jewish lunar calender is subject to seasonal drift that needs correcting by the insertion of extra days, thus throwing the days and even the months out of sync. This is a known flaw, see below.

The problem with strictly lunar calendars is that there are approximately 12.4 lunar months in every solar year, so a 12-month lunar calendar is about 11 days shorter than a solar year and a 13-month lunar is about 19 longer than a solar year. The months drift around the seasons on such a calendar: on a 12-month lunar calendar, the month of Nissan, which is supposed to occur in the Spring, would occur 11 days earlier in the season each year, eventually occurring in the Winter, the Fall, the Summer, and then the Spring again. On a 13-month lunar calendar, the same thing would happen in the other direction, and faster.

You do know that this is ONLY in relation to the YEAR not the 7 day week right? Zzzz:confused:. Seems you are a little mixed up.

You are wrong. Insert a day into this week and the days following will be out of sync. Today is Wednesday and if we add an extra day tomorrow, then tomorrows Thursday becomes Friday. Friday becomes Saturday which is your Sabbath, so you will be celebrating Sabbath on Friday.

You are indeed mixed up. Now your claiming no one even the Jews do not even know what day the Sabbath is. Yet Jesus and all of God's people have been keeping it since creation. Amazing. The day is added at the end is added as another day to the year. So for example if the year finsihes wednesday the other day is added so it finishes thursday which is the next following day in the week. This does NOT effect the 7 day week cycle.

Judaism is a mess. Why do you think God gave the Jews a New Covenant?

The unfortunate thing is that the Jews fail to keep God's New Covenant, so remaining in their error in disobedience to Almighty God.

If you love God as you say you do, then you will move yourself lock-stock-and-barrel into the Christian era and forget Judaism.

Yes indeed............

Matthew 19
16,
And, behold, one came and said to him, Good Master, WHAT GOOD THING MUST I DO, THAT I MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?
17, And he said to him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He said to him, Which? Jesus said, YOU SHALL DO NO MURDER. YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,
19, HONOR YOUR FARTHER AND MOTHER; YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.

and again Jesus is quoting from Deut 6:5 and Lev 19:18

Matthew 22
36,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

.................

Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18)
2. Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
3. Jesus taught that Love is the fulfilling (doing) of God’s Law (10 commandments Matt 22:36-40)
4. If we break God’s Law by following man-made traditions we are not following God (Matt 15:3-9)
5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)
6. Jesus taught if you love God you will keep God’s Law and abide in His Love (John 14:15; 15:10
7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matt 5:19)
8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10)

Seems you are are little mixed up....

Indeed, we all need to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. SIN will keep all those who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

50 Commands of Jesus - Practical Bible study - 15 lessons - What they mean today

We indeed must live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4) Why you think those scriptures disagree with what I have been sharing with you and support your belief however is beyond me.

SIN is breaking God's 10 Commandments. (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-11; 1 John 3:4) God's 10 Commandments give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3:20; Ps 110:172).

You cannot do one of those scriptures you have quoted without Faith and receiving God's Spirit. You do not receive God's Spirit if you are breaking God's Commandments and Sinning against him (Acts 5:32)

At the time Jesus was speaking, that was correct. However everything changed when Christ conquered death and the New Covenant was ushered in.
Like....Today He is NO longer the same as He was yesterday ??? better tear Heb 13v8 out of scripture then.

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. He hasn't changed and because of His great unchanging love toward us, he gave us a new commandment and made a new covenant with us that makes it easier to enter the Kingdom of God.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (Joh 13:34-35)
