Whatever God himself says is faithful and will never fail. As he speaks , so it is .
it is true of creation and when He speaks instruction and it’s blessing to Man and invites belief and action ( Faith ) and it is so
“And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:.”

We see this same faithful and unfailing word in our Lord and his gospel
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.”

His word raises the dead to life
“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”

“And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

his word commands the wind and sea and they obey

The greatest faith understands the authority and power of his word
“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
….And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.
And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

He speaks and it is so
“Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.”

We can believe the gospel and trust his word to change us and save us
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

We can believe everything Jesus taught and trust that he is the one to believe unto salvation. Gods word still has the same effectual power to create faith in believers , Move mountains in our lives and save our souls.
“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
John 6:45 KJV
if we will hear the Gospel we will have faith and live thereby
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:24 KJV
That’s the same principle as when he said everything else it’s sure and perfect it’s dependable and true
if we won’t hear his word and hear the wrong word , it also has a contrary effect.
If we hear and Believe the Lords gospel he will never lead us astray. Even when we fall short and don’t measure up he won’t leave us behind.
If we hear him and believe and begin to trust and follow we can live by faith.
