good encouragement christian books?

can you tell me what are some good christian encouragement books and the authors.

I need encouragement on life and living it in this crazy world thank you.
 
i just finished reading 'the shack' its AMAZING and now im reading and being totally changed with 'rachel's tears'
another good one (great fiction! lol) is 'rescued' by john bevere.

and the best of them all is ze bible! hehe
 
oh ok so they're not non-fiction, i was wanting non-fictions probably by joyce meyer or something
 
I may get made fun of because of this...

but "Little Women," by Louisa May Alcott, is one of the best, and most encouraging books I have ever read...

but I like most of the classics, like Pilgrim's progress by Bunyan (also Holy War is a good story by Bunyan) and The Little Prince by Saint de Exupery...

The first story is based largely on her early life and is sooo inspiring (the sequels to little women are good too, little men, but they did start to get old after I read too many of them and was ashamed that I liked them)...Pilgrim's Progress everyone should know, but it is a deep allegory, it is actually referred to in Little Women quite a bit...The Little Prince is a deep child's story that can enlighten the mind's of even the old...

All of these stories can be found for free online, except maybe The Little Prince--I am not sure about that one...

I just read "What the Locusts had Eaten" Wow I read it in 3 hours maybe 4. It is the Nikki O'Baire story. It really has the message that no matter where you come from or what you go through, God is there and he can use you! I really loved it.
 
you guys should read the bronze horseman...very good. by paulina simons its a sequel.
 
yeah ive watched little women...not litte men however.

do you guys know any good non fictional books??
 
"The Irresistible Revolution" by Shane Claiborne. This book was my first step toward knowing Jesus and becoming a Christian. This book made me WANT to sit down and read the Gospels. I love it.
 
The Pilgrim's Progress - John Bunyan. It's a religious allegory, written in a similar syntax to that of the Old King James translation of the Bible.
