I'm new here and am having trouble sleeping so I thought I'd chat. I've had the Lord on my mind a lot lately and feel like his coming is near. I was reading in Isaiah the other day and wow it seemed like the enemy was attacking me where ever I went. I must have struck a nerve. It seems that whenever I draw near to the Lord this happens.

I was making this very same observation the other day: isn't it interesting how, when you are achieving a true closeness with God, the enemy is there to attempt to misguide us?

It seems to me that, if I look back at my life and the times of strife, those moments which have been the toughest financially or otherwise, have been the ones when my committment to the Lord is growing. I won't be dissuaded, though. God knows my heart, and pulls me out of dark times

Thanks. About two years ago I was as close to the Lord as ever, soon my whole world began to collapse around me. I nearly lost everything. I felt like Job, but God sustained me and now I'm much better off then I was before. Praise the Lord.

I have only gotten to Leviticus in my Bible. Can you tell me who Job is? I'm sure I can pick up my Bible and look him up myself, but I'd like to chat...
