Good understand able us to Jesus’ grace and put us away from the hard way:
• “Good understanding giveth favor; But the way of the transgressor is hard.” (Pro 13:15).
Take a look at what the wisdom did for Joseph and David:
• “and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” (Act 7:10).
• “And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and Jehovah was with him. And when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he stood in awe of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David; for he went out and came in before them.” (1Sa 18:16).
And Solomon explain us the reason:
• “The king's favor is toward a servant that dealeth wisely; But his wrath will be against him that causeth shame.” (Pro 14:35).
Thus:
• “Let not mercy and truth forsake you; tie them around your neck; write them upon the tablet of your heart; and you shall find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man” (Pro 3:3,4).
Compare the path of the righteous with the path of the wicked:
• “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.” (Pro 4:18);
• “The way of the wicked is as darkness; they know not at what they stumble.” (Pro 4:19).
The wicked not even need to be target of our hatred or disesteem:
• “Your own evil shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you, therefore know and see that it is an evil and bitter thing that you have forsaken Jehovah your God, and that My fear is not in you, says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.” (Jer 2:19).
Therefore:
• “Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of him who practices wickedness. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret yourself to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.” (Psa 37:7-11).
After all:
• “For he that wants to love life and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile. Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayers. But the Lord's face is against those who do evil.” (1Pe 3:10-12).
So, have a good day welcoming all Jesus’ wisdom and abiding by what is written in Psalms 1:1,2. After all:
• “For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness. What fruit did you have then in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.” (Rom 6:20,21).
